Hi- This will be our 8th trip to Disney, the first time staying on property. MY DH is running the Disney Marathon, and we are all very excited!
I just booked our package with Disney (9 nights at Pop, MYW Base tix, +airfare). My DH was interested in doing the Dining Plan. Was told we can't add that w/ the "Marathon Package". I really don't know what savings, if any, come with that "package". Our total for our package is approx $3400+. To add the Dining Plan, I would have to cancel and rebook, w/ out the package, right? I know the room rates aren't out yet for Jan '09. I don't even know if it would be worth it for us. Our kids are 13 and 8. Sometimes they eat a lot, sometimes a little. The 13-year-old, especially, is an adventurous eater and is NOT a cheap date. LOL My plan was to get snacks and juice boxes for in the room for breakfast and make ADRS for lunch for a break in the middle of the day, and then just grab CS for supper. I guess the dining plan would save us $ some days, depending on where we ate and how hungry the kids are. Would I be better off trying to rebook and add it, and would there be penalties for doing that, or just let things ride as they are and go with my plan for breakfast in the room and lunch ADRs w/ CS for supper? I know it's a long post-thanks for hanging in there, and thanks for any and all advice! Wasn't sure which board to post this on, so I also posted over on the Budget Board. jenwolgey
