Re-Hitching ?

I've heard so much about this and am thinking of doing this for my folks. I would like to hear some details about it...

Once you finish your dinner the waiter will come over and announce to the entire rest that you are being re-hitched, he then preforms a somewhat silly ceremony with Mickey as bestman minnie as moh (if she is there) with Chip and Dale as wittnesses. When told you may kiss the bride the waiter tell you , you must kiss to 100 and then they start counting in 5s or 10s. The entire rest looks on in the entire proccess and claps at the end. then the waiter brings out a cert of rehitching with Mickey and Minnie on it and a Cake (that is free and feeds about 6 -8 avg. slices. Hope this helps! It is really a blast to do!!

We did it last December and it wasn't all that great. Might have been our waitress or the rain or whatever...

No characters were involved, no cake, and not something that many people could see (with the layout of the GG being what it is). It was to be a surprise for my wife for our 10 year anniversary and it just wasn't as memorable an experience that it could have been. Prior to booking the PS, I had read a bunch of posts here from people who had done it and thought it sounded like great fun. Ours just wasn't.

Does anyone know if a CM will videotape this for the couple who is getting re-hitched if that couple has their own videocamera?

That would be a great idea...the videocamera...do you think they would do this...anyone?

CM's are encouraged to do any little thing that enahances a guest's experiece. They are always offering to take a photo.

Depending on how long this lasts there should be someone to assist.

I did something that required a dedicated CM during the MNSSHP last year and the restaurant manager "assigne" someone to me that evening. They did have other responsibilities, and I did have to wait my turn, but he was there every so often offering to do what he could.

It's done at the Garden Grill restaurant in The Land pavilion in Epcot.
