Does anyone know anything about the Re Hitchen ceremony at Garden Grill in epcot.

My dad is buying mum a new wedding and engagement ring for Christmas (lost her original ones) as a surprise and I thought it would make it extra special if they could get Re-Hitched.:lovestruc

I've seen it mentioned on some threads but can't find any definite information on it.

Any help would be great.

:goodvibes

Thanks for the PM mousefan

I'll be on the Phone first thing tomorrow to arrange this.

:wave2:

I've already booked this during our CP dinner & am planning to surprise my dh! He will absolutely freak out (and then kill me later... :duck: ). Maybe we can get Mickey to sign his arm cast! :p I'm excited about it!

Not trying to be a downer. I know people have had varied experiences with the Re-Hitchin Ceremony, mine wasn't great.
First off, nobody had ever mentioned that it should only be for anniversaries. So I scheduled one, just for fun to surprise DH, do something a little crazy and romantic. I did mention that it wasn't our anniversary, but the CM started yelling out that we had "been married 10 years as of today"
My DH was confused, so were the other eight people in our party.
We didn't have any characters present and we did not get a certificate. I don't know, maybe I expected too much, because I thought it was a bust.

similar experience here -

No Characters, but did get a certificate and a cake that was really cute and yummy, but our kids could not really see what was going on and all in all it was kind of fun, but nothing special.

Same thing happen to us last week. It wasn't at all what I expected it to be. Was really disapointed: NO Mickey, No Certf. It was all over in a matter of mins. They did have us kiss to the count of 100 by 10's. Our sons got a laugh out of that.

My sister had me arrange this on their trip last year. It was her DD's and SIL 15th anniversary and they were in Epcot that day. The "lucky couple" had no idea what was going on!! :earseek: They had ALL the characters in attendance, a great CM and got the certificate and even had posed pictures with the characters. ::yes:: Guess it all depends on the CM that you get.

I must say, my experience was really good. We had Pluto and Dale there. Mickey was watching from another table on the other side of the wall. And the CM waited till we were at the entrance area, so everyone could witness and join in on the fun!!! If you want to see some photos go to my disney photo album and scroll down about halfway. The pics with me in yellow are the ones.
