?? re DVC annual meeting

First off, does anyone know exactly when the 2003 DVC meeting will be? And will there be one meeting or will there be a different meeting for each resort? If there's a different one for each resort, can we only attend at our home resort(s), or can we attend any? That question I want to know about because we own at VWL, but we're most interested in OKW. We only own at VWL since it was what was being sold when we bought. Also, I was wondering when the annual meeting was because I just got laid off (that's a whole different issue), so I'm no longer tied into school vacations. Right now I'm holding ressies for December14-18, but am considering changing to a week earlier. One reason for the change would be to get to a DVC annual meeting-this may be the only year I can. And since I hear the DVC meeting week is so busy, I need to make this change as soon as possible. What does everyone think?

To the best of my knowledge, the dates for 2003 haven't been announced yet. You might try calling your guide or MS to see if they know.

Based on the past, each resort has a separate annual meeting. The agendas are very similar (except for some of the questions from the audience, LOL), and are open to anyone as far as I know. I do remember sending something to let them know I was coming (they had my name on a list when I arrived), but I don't think they would turn you away if you didn't "pre-register". There were many empty chairs at the BWV meeting. Last year, the meeting for BWV was on 12/5. I think the OKW meeting was the same day as BWV, but in the AM. BWV was in the PM.

As far as the dates go, I think 12/14 - 12/18 will be too late if you are counting on attending one or more of the meetings. Again, based on the past, the WDW locations have been scheduled for the first week in December. IIRC, there have been some scheduled for the last week of November (if Thanksgiving was early that year).

If you do find out the dates for 2003, please post to let us know. I'll d the same. I tried to do a search for last year's dates - I know there were several posts that listed them, but the Search function isn't available right now. I'll try agin later.

Simba's Mom, at an OKW annual meeting several years ago, a member asked about when the meeting would be each year. The member said they wanted to be able to plan ahead, etc. A DVC management CM said it is the thursday follwoing Thanksgiving. So far since then, that is when the meeting has been. Also, there are separate meetings for each DVC resort.
