I think we may need more info for clarification ... are you saying you have 160 DVC points that you deposited into RCI in a prior transaction? If so, which side carries the 12/31/2014 expiration date:
a) The original DVC Points? (Were these from a DVC Dec-2013 UY?)
b) The RCI deposit expiration date?
As I understand it, depositing DVC points to RCI (generally extending their normal DVC UY expiration) is a one-way transaction and is not reversed w/out begging Member Services for special consideration.
If you deposited DVC Dec-2013 UY points into RCI -- they should have ~2 years use on the RCI side. Please check/verify the expiration date?
I'm pretty sure there is no way to get the points back. The inventory represented by those points has almost certainly been used long ago, so there would be nothing to "get back."
I have never used DVC's RCI, so I'm not sure about this -- but you may be able to pay a fee to RCI to extend the use of the points in RCI. I know with other systems you can pay a small fee ($99?) to extend the points for an additional 12 months -- but DVC/RCI is not an individual membership, so I don't know if that option applies to DVC.
They will not let you reserve DVC and they will not extend them. One thing you might be able to do is make a reservation then cancel it, that might or might not extend but given you're already under the 45 day window, the points would be very limited anyway. And you can't rent them either. You've had a couple of years to do this I would assume.
