Rci - aruba anyone??

Hi,
Have you gone to Costa Linda Beach Resort in Aruba on the RCI exchange? Please tell me about your experience. What was the resort like? Did you consider it a good use of points?

We are interested in going in Feb 2011. Was it hard to get a ressie?

We have been to Aruba once and we are going again next Jan. ASAMOF, just booked our air for the trip about 5 minutes ago. We'll do the same trip as last time starting and finishing at La Cabana with a 7 day stay at Marriott's Surfwatch in between. Of the resorts on DVC's list I'd likely only consider staying at Costa Linda, Playa Linda and maybe Casa Del Mar. I would eliminate Occidental Grande due to it's all inclusive requirements. None are up to DVC but they are all nice enough and in good location. Costa Linda is likely the nicest but I prefer the High Rise section where PL is closer to more restaurants. I'd suggest you look for a direct exchange to one of the Marriott's. One thing to consider about CL vs PL is that PL is part of RCI's points program but CL is not. That may mean earlier availability for CL over PL. I'd make a decision and get on the list ASAP.
