The Cast -
Me - Razor Roman - 26 - Former Disney College Program intern and all around Disney lover.
My DF(iancee) - Also 26 - Thought Disney was nice until she met me - now she's a Disney freak!
------------
We have had 2 awesome days so far at the 'World. When we checked in we looked at the weather and Monday, 3/14 was supposed to be beautiful! Sunny and 82! So we decided to head over to Typhoon Lagoon to check out the new Crush n Gusher.
We change into our suits and get to TL, where I buy the $10 all day soda, My DF gets some watershoes, and we get a locker. We decide to start off in the lazy river, when the sky started to get a little gray.
We hear the announcement that they have heard lightning could be coming in the next 30 minutes. About 2 minutes later it starts POURING. Everybody out, they're closing the rides.
After about an hour of hanging around with everyone else in the gift shop, we decide to cut our losses and leave. As we get back to the CBR it clears up, so I hit the pool for a while while DF takes a shower.
We had wanted to try the Kitchen Sink at Beaches and Cream, figuring we wouldn't finish it, but we decided to make it our "lunch". Took us forever to get to B&C because I thought I'd be smart and take the bus to Epcot since it's closer to the Beach Club - we were planning on going to the Studios after, and since we had non-hoppers walking through the part to international gateway was out of the question... so what do we do? We hop on a bus to Animal Kingdom (are there no buses from Epcot to Downtown disney, cause I couldn't find 'em!) and then get on another bus to the Beach Club.
It's getting late, and the Studios closes at 7:30, I'm really starting to doubt we'll make it there... so we order the kitchen sink, and the waitress is like "...oh, ok..." like we're crazy or something... and WOW is it HUGE. We got through the whipped cream and most of the ice cream, I think... but we had tons left over (check the pictures!!!) We leave B&C, and look at the time, it's about 5:00... we decide rather than go to Studios for 2 hours, we walk over to Epcot, and walk from the UK to American Adventure, where we see the show and grab some burgers for dinner. We hit all the countries in between, taking pictures, having a margarita in Mexico (which neither of us liked very much), we rode the Mexican boat ride, and generally enjoyed ourselves except for all the obnoxious cheerleading groups, and the generally un-Disneylike behaviour of some people our age walking around with Beer-bongs.
We decide to retire a little early, we skipped out on Illumination since we saw it last time we were there, and decided we'd rather take a more leisurely pace and relax on this much-needed vacation.
