I vote Love It! It has allowed us to have vacations we otherwise we couldn't and know that we will have more in the future.

It was a purchase based not on financial gain or investment...purely an extravagance for us. No regrets in the 6 or 7 years we've had our DVC. So many memories made and shared with family and friends.

We only bought in 2010 and have already used our points for 5 vacations, including this June's repeat visit to BLT. We have loved it....I vote for #9. We bought when my oldest was already 16 yrs old, as he graduated HS, I thought did we make a mistake. We have college cost, plus he my not be able to go with us on vacation. But, then we vacationed at HHI and had a blast. I realized DVC was more than just WDW and we also have most of future vacation cost paid for. With out DVC, we probably would have not had the money to go on these fantastic vacations. With DVC, there is no reason not to go away....:):)

We purchased in July and have yet to have our first trip home. We are booked for 11 nights in June on a 2 bedroom villa at BCV, our home resort. We have rented points twice before and stayed 11 nights in a 2 bedroom villa so the only thing different this time is that we are finally owners! I a, thrilled with my purchase (250 points) and I'm already trying to figure out how to purchase more. I believe DVC will bring us many years of wonderful, magical vacations!

Mixed. Bought in 2006 and used it several times a year and loved it. But over the last two years between hurricanes in New England and freak snowstorms in October have had to cancel as the schools cancelled spring breaks. Now ds 17 is picking colleges and most are in the 55k range per year and may have to sell dvc since we may need the money.

We will figure it out but just may stop vacations that cost a lot to keep him in school, not going to have him go into debt to the government just to go to school.

We bought in 2010 and think we made a great decision. We have created alot of great memories with our kids and we are now sharing it with our extended family. We will Be back to Disney world in 5 days and I am not sure who is more excited me or my kids, LOL.:rotfl2:

Bought a resale at OKW in 2006 (200 points) after 2 trips to Disney with the kids (1st off site and 2nd at POR). We lived in NC then and easily drove to WDW. Our kids were also in a year round elementary and so WDW in Sept was perfect for us. So buying really made sense for us at that time. We moved to MD in 2007 and our kids went into traditional schools where we didn't have those 3 weeks off at the end of Sept-beginning of Oct. So, I selected 7 as it feels like I am about 70% happy...maybe should have selected 6 now that I think about it. Aside from WDW not being a convenient drive anymore and us not having that 3 week break in Sept-Oct, we also feel like it just costs so much. There are the, always increasing, annual dues and then you have to buy park tix and we love to do the dining while there (with our TIW card, but still adds up). Now we like to fly there, after a couple trips that we drove down from MD and it was just miserable. Cha-ching...cha-ching.

BUT...it is nice to stay in the villas on property, I feel. DH would be perfectly happy staying in a cheap motel off-site...not me!. And even though we will go to WDW and come home and say that we don't need to go back, within about 8-10 months we are itching for our Dis fix. And I would be very happy to do every vacation at WDW (and cruising) and DH would prefer to branch out. With owning DVC I have him locked in. I will say that I am glad we added 50 points at HH last year because we can use those for a trip to WDW or, if we want to not spend the $$ on park tix and airfare, we can use it to stay at HH (it's a nice beach trip). I wish we did not buy our 1st membership at OKW as we prefer to be at an Epcot resort at WDW. If I could just trade in, I would trade for 150 points at BWV and 100 points at HH.

We love our DVC!

My DH and I love to vacation, but he is cheap. He hates to spend money on anything. We bought our points in 2001, when he was in a really generous mood. It works perfectly for us, he feels like he's staying "free" and I get my yearly Disney fix.

I voted #10. It is the best money we have ever spent, along with our "other home". :) Love our DVC!!

We have owned since 2004 and only wish we had bought more points. We got good deals both from Disney for SSR and resale for OKW.

98+% of people are at 50% or higher.. (yes I realize where it is posted.. but still pretty impressive.)
