Rate changes during your stay.

I tried the search engine (what is up? it doesn't work) and google search but I couldn't find the answer.

I know Dis. changed the way they work the rates.........you no longer get every night at the first night's rate.

But we are thinking about going before and during the dreaded Easter week (call me insane). If we check in on Friday before, and it's regular rates........then on Sunday (or maybe I'm wrong....does the rate change on Saturday night?) it is Holiday rates, do you have to get two different reservations?? or do they just do what every other hotel in the nation does.....handle it on one reservation even though different nights are on different rates?

The reason I ask is that we want to purchase the dining plan. And don't you have to purchase at least a one day ticket for each reservation when you get the dining plan? Or is that just during free dining (which we have done)?

Sorry, I'm confused.

Thanks for your help.

No if call all be on one reservation. If you check rates online, it will tell you the rate for each night of your stay. I think they do it automatically.

yea, that's the problem. I tried putting in the dates on Disney's site, but it said it isn't taking reservations that far out. I thought anything under a year it would let you do it...........oh well.

So you think it will be all on one reservation? That's good to hear.

you can book a room only more than a year in advance.i did. others do. rates wont be guaranteed until aug for"2009" rates to come out. cant do a pkg reservation over a year out i think? think you can book pkg in aug when the rates do come out.You cant just add the dining and tickets on later. It will be a totally new reservation. pkgs are handled by a different dept. so your room only would be cancelled and chg over to a pkg with a new res#. Thats what i did...

i think free dining requires 3 night reservations.

ticks must be purchased for each person to be on dining plan......

Fri/Sat night rates are higher than weekdays now and you may have holiday pricing on top of that.I know dining at buffets has increases($4) during holidays if not on a DDP.

oh and by the way all.....WE LEAVE FOR WDW IN LESS THAN 24HRS!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I just tried again on the website. It says it will not take reservations past Dec. 31st, 2008. So I called and they said, they will take them with a deposit, but then you will be told what the actual rate is once they come out.

She did tell me the holiday rate would probably be for the week before Easter and the week after Easter. So I think the rate would be all the same for my stay.

Yes, it will be all on one reservation. We had the higher rate at the Pop Century for Saturday night and we only had one reservation. If I recall correctly, Disney doesn't put each individual night as a separate line on your bill like other hotels do. It's just one total. We had to have the Saturday night broken out because the company was paying for the other three nights. That wasn't an easy thing for the front desk person to do but she did.
