On 20 April 2011 the Mayor of Chester gave permission for Disneyland Paris to build a new area in Walt Disney Studios. The long awaited Ratatouille themed dark ride and restaurant.

This allowed a DisneyCentralPlaza forum member the opportunity to go along to the town hall and see the plans and take some photos, and here are the first pictures of this future project.

Great news, hopefully they will start constructing soon:thumbsup2

WOHOO :cool1:!!!!!! Does anyone know if it will be open 2012 for 20th anniversary? Will the 20th now run 2 years like the 15th?

I'm REALLY looking forward to this! :worship: What a great news!

Great news. The artists sketches look very pretty :goodvibes

I think they would have their work cut out to finish it but then but who knows it maybe finished by the end of next year if they start soon.

As for how long the 20th anniversary celebrations last is anyones guess, I suppose it will depend on how well it does:thumbsup2

It's a real plus for the Studios and hopefully it will have fastpasses and not be jam packed like Crush :cool1:

I would have thought 2013 for an opening but who knows seeing it's a dark ride so probably easier to build than TSP which took nearly a year

The ride should be a great addition and the studios badly needs another restaurant too. Hopefully they will get started soon:goodvibes

I think one of the best things about this ride is the technology for this ride has already been designed and used in other Parks recently, making the budget much easier to handle. It been stated else where that it probably wouldn't be ready until 2013, in my opinion it will keep the gate numbers high into the last part of the 20th Anniversary (like the 15th went on for um, nearly 2 years!)

Ratatouille is probably one of my favourite films and I can't wait for this to happen, it will be such a scoop for the WDS and much needed, even though this Park is already one of my favourites for around the Disney World!!

Whith tthe proposed trackless system, I think that this will be a HUGE gate puller!!!! :worship:
