Now, why can't I find anyone willing to trade me one of those? I'll give ALMOST anything! C'mon! LOL

:flower: ~Mia~ :flower:

I didn't get the Pirate's "Captain's Quarters couch" through a trade, it was a Random Act of Kindness from Peeplmoovr :sunny: :flower:

You know, I've come to the conclusion that many of us DISers prefer to give some things away, rather than trade! :earboy2: The bible says "there is more joy in giving than receiving" and I can't agree more with that ::yes::

Just curious, how does a 4 year old play this game? He must be really smart! :wizard:

~Mia~

Well he is going to be 5 next month. He can type some easy words but he doesn't do that much. He has been on a computer since he was 3 in Preschool. He loves to click everday to get his points and walk around to check everything else out. He also loves to play the Jungle Cruise game. That is pretty simple. He wants to be just like his big brother. :earboy2: :earboy2:

Our DSs, now ages 17 1/2 and 14 1/2 were raised on computers too, and I know at the age of almost-5 they definitely could've maneuvered themselves around VMK, although of course, not to the extent that an older child or an adult could. I'm glad your little guy is enjoying VMK :)

P.S. At that age, it's probably a good thing they aren't typing or reading much. lol Rather, I imagine they enjoy the scenery and games :)

P.P.S. To keep this post on-topic, I know that CapeCAD really enjoys giving the space rooms and suits to people who don't have them, and especially to the kids :)

very easily....although she answered you. I want to add children do not have to type or spell to play VMK...while as adults we tend toward the chat and interaction aspect of the game. Young children are are playing the games and decorating their rooms. No need to chat.

~Mia~

My oldest son is 17 1/2 and at age 2 played the computer games on our computer- the ones pre-windows- he would go to computer, turn it on, and access the programs by typing in the locations.

Currently two of my 4 kids play VMK (the oldest plays every now and then just to do something different but isn't very involved- and he will help younger kids when needed)- the two who do play- are 7 (well she turns 8 the day after Thanksgiving) and plays mostly by herself- and my youngest is just 1 1/2 and he plays sitting on my lap and watches although he is starting to point to some things that he wants me to do. He loves watching Jungle Cruise and the Music Game- he dances along with the character when it goes. His computer skills so far- well he knows how to plug in the mouse- even knows to look for the marks on the plug and put them up and he is great at turning off my computer when I really don't want him too-

So a 4 yo is really able to play fairly easily especially if they are just moving their character around - I doubt they would chat much- or trade but they can easily work all the controls. My 7yo has been playing different games online for a long time and her need for assistance goes down all the time. I think a lot has to do with the exposure to the games. My oldest son could beat most adults on his Nintendo before he was potty trained- lol.

And because this post is somewhat off topic- I'll just offer a general thanks to all on DIS who have done so much to make this game fun and enjoyable and safe too! Thanks :)

Thanks to Marcm who gifted me a 3 musketeers hat when I noticed that mine disappeared from inventory today!!

A big thank you to Chickysmom for making my DS5 (piratedash) laugh and smile yesterday in VMK. Thanks for taking the time to wave to him and dance (sorry he danced you right off the dock!) lol :flower:

A great big THANK YOU to RODOLFITO for gifting me the Captain's Quarters Couch! You rule!
