Rant/vent! I Hate My Job!

Okay I am just SO mad right now that I HAVE ot vent somewhere.

I asked for the weekend off beause I'm going to Niagara Falls with my friends.
I asked for it a WEEK AND A HALF in advance!!

I get my schedule today and THEY BOOKED ME TO WORK FRIDAY & SATURDAY NIGHT!!!

I have been working SO much lately, I can't even remember the last time I asked for a day off, I've been planning this trip for WEEKS and they can't even give me a few days off.

I AM SO ANGRY RIGHT NOW.
I don't even know what I'm going to do!!

My BESTEST BEST FRIEND IN THE WORLD CAME THROUGH FOR ME!!
He had also booked off the days, but he said that he'd cancel his plans and take my shifts.
He is the greatest friend in the entire world!!!!


I STILL HATE MY WORK THOUGH. THey are jerks for not giving me it off in the first place!

Ugh. My friend used to work at Timmies and she always seemed to have this problem. Her manager didn't care if she had it booked, if she wasn't allowed to work, she'd be put for that time.

at my job in order to guarantee a day off, especially simultaneous days or weekends, you need to ask for it off at least a month in advance or they can put you on the schedule.

I'm glad you got the days off. But at my job, in order to be considered for days off you need to request them off at least a month in advance (and even then you may not get them, as it goes by seniority).
