Rant Correction

On the July 8 podcast, Jenny-Lynn asked for details on Pete's rant concerning the fake peanut shells by Dumbo. She was told Pete was ranting at people thinking they were real peanut shells.

I remember it differently. I don't think Pete would rant over people concerned over food allergies. The way I remember it is that people knew they were fake peanut shells, and they were offended by that because the very image of a peanut could possibly traumatize their precious snowflakes. The rant was more on people who are easily offended than making fun of people with allergies.

Or at least that's the way I remember it, but I won't be offended if I'm corrected.

Same here. People were first offended by the possibility of peanuts in the cement, then by the mere representation of peanuts.

Fast forward to the 13:40 mark of this podcast, to hear Pete's message to the parents who are complaining to Disney that the fake peanuts in the new circus area of the Magic Kingdom will make their children sick. LOL It is 6 minutes of Classic Pete.
