Cinderella's Golden Carrousel was built in 1918 for an amusement park in New Jersey. Disney restored it, making each horse unique and adding the calliope music. It's the oldest attraction in DisneyWorld.
One of those bus drivers was the one who told me that Disney as a company was too large to be bought by any individual or group of individuals.Ah, those wonderful Disney bus drivers...
Has anyone ever REALLY confirmed that???before I leave to put in my Little Mermaid movie, do you happen to know the uh, circumstances surrounding the graphic picture on the cover????
But why does the Dolphin look like a fish-not a dolphin?
I thought the trains were from the Roaring 20's, but I could be wrong.I thought the Steam Trains were older and refurbished from Mexico. I'm not 100% sure but I know they, too, are very old.

I believe the Poly has the only hidden tinkerbell...although we've never really looked, I think I know where it may be.
I have a friend who was REALLY anti-Disney. Many MANY years ago he showed me a video tape once of several "obscenities" in Disney movies, including the word SEX in the dust of Lion King, a small voice that said "children take your clothes off", and many many more (some to vulger to mention here) hidden scenes and such. We went out and rented several of them out of curiousity one night. Don't get me wrong... I always thought it would be REALLY easy for an employee to "slip something" into the movie for bragging rights if it were really hard to spot, and I didn't doubt for a second that it was there. We rented most of the movies on the list, and we could not find ONE SINGLE INCIDENT mentioned. We were hoping to see something, because at the time, we weren't fans of Disney. We couldn't find anything at any of the places the stuff was supposed to be. I've seen pictures of the Little Mermaid cover, but I've never seen the cover look like those pictures. I'm not saying it's NOT true, but I have never seen it to BE true either.
I've been here on the DIS for many years under several different user IDs. The Swan and the Dolphin are the single biggest "no one REALLY seems to know" argument I've seen here. I've seen experts argue about them. To me, they are just cool resorts. I try to look past all that history stuff, because it gets too confusing for my blood. Either way... you all have to agree they are BEAUTIFUL resorts regardless of what the animals / architecture suggests or is.![]()
Actually there is only one real Baobab Tree in AK. It is outside of Tusker House and it looks nothing like the cement monsters you see in the safari. It takes over a hundred years for them to grow that big. A friend of mine from South Africa said that he once saw one that had a small pub inside of it.I've been wondering about those big baobob trees in Africa in Animal Kingdom. I saw one near the entrance to the safari, and also along the safari route. They look like they are upside down, with roots up in the air.
One of the cast members said they are real and Disney brought them all the way from Africa and planted them. But later I read something online that said they are artificial. I am wondering which is true? If they brought them from Africa, wouldn't there be the worry of bringing in disease or insect infestation to Florida?
I also noticed the unusual sausage tree by the shops in Africa, which I was told is also real. I think this is true because I remember seeing one in Cypress Gardens in their botanical gardens.

I can confirm some of the movie instances. Yes there is some questionable artwork on the front of the original "Little Mermaid" I own it and can confirm. I don't know whether it was intentional or not but when discovered it was yanked from shelves and redone. I have seen something that looks like sex in the "Lion King" movie and definetly heard the "take your clothes off" in Alladin.
I have also paused the movie "The rescuers" and seen the dirty pic of a woman. I bought all these movies when they were first released on VHS and I believe these things when found were removed from later releases.

it is SFX as already stated in a previous post.
Alladin says "take off and go"
