Random Thoughts: Post em!

My thoughts keep going back and forth between "Why are all the guys telling me that Ken forgot that I called because he's so busy with work and I should call him again to jog his memory, but the women say not to call him again..." and "I wonder when it might be a good time to call him again..." and "If my coworker doesn't turn down her !@#$%^&*() ipod, I'm going to go over to her cubicle and smash it."

I'm wishing I had $20,000,000 to just throw away on a freakin' trip to outer space. Although outer space is NOT where I would be going. D@mn!

My butt hurts.

I broke my tailbone over a year ago, and it will not stop hurting.

Just thought someone should know...

Home today recuperating from a cold (I know, I'm a wimp). Decided to run some errands today and my random thought was:

Man, how easy it is to get things done during the week when everyone's at work. No traffic, no lines, stores are neat. This is bliss.

Same here. I didn't find him HOT until he got rid of that 80's hair. Blech. I mean, sure, he was cute back then. But man is he EVER hot as an over-40 dude, you know?

Can't stop thinking of this:

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. -- Sheriff's investigators who are looking into the grisly death of woman found on a Douglas County road Monday morning said the only significant clue they have to her identity is a photograph found near her body.

The woman's mangled, naked body was discovered along Surrey Drive near the Surrey Ridge subdivision, at about 2:39 a.m., police said.

A winding drag mark, consisting of tire marks and blood, stretched for about 2 miles -- from Interstate 25 exit 191 to the area in the road where woman's body was found, 7News reported.

Authorities said it appeared as if she had been dragged behind a vehicle. Her face was so disfigured that she could not be identified so the Douglas County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help.

The victim was described as a white, Hispanic or Native American woman with a short stature and stocky build. She was in her 30s and had fair to medium skin. She was 5 feet tall and 130 to 140 pounds. Her auburn hair, which may have been dyed, was shoulder-length or slightly longer. She had hazel or green eyes.

Investigators said the woman's description did not match any missing person reports in Douglas County but they will be checking national databases as well.

During the search of the crime scene, a photograph of a couple was found. The couple is pictured standing against a wall, possibly attending a party, authorities said.

The photograph may or may not be related to the incident but the sheriff's office is asking the individuals in the photograph or anyone who knows the individuals in the photograph to call the Douglas County Sheriff's Office at 303-660-7579.

Authorities said that local residents need not worry about a possible killer in the neighborhood.

"I don't think there's anything to be concerned about. I think the individual came to this area to dump the body," said Undersheriff Tony Spurloch.

Nevertheless, the gruesome crime has offended and disturbed neighbors.

"It doesn't even fit in my mind. I can't even believe that. I can't even think that there are actually people in the world who would do that kind of stuff, it's absolutely horrific," said resident Nancy Foley.

"I get out, got strobe lights in my eyes -- flashing lights, you know. I come out, look and there's a bag down there on the street. It's a little nerve-wracking," said resident Bradley Dawson.

The cause of the woman's death will not be known until an autopsy has been conducted. And until her identity is known, authorities won't know who killed her or why.

Detectives spent most of the morning walking the road collecting pieces of clothing that had fallen off her and other evidence.

According to the sheriff's office, a man called authorities at 2:39 a.m. to report finding the woman's body on the road near his house. Her body was found in a massive pool of blood in the middle of the street. There was so much blood spilled on the concrete that street sweepers could not remove it all and authorities will need to hire a private contractor to take care of it.

According to the evidence at the scene, it appeared that the vehicle that had dragged the woman had exited I-25 at the Surrey Ridge exit and then continued west, until her body was left in the middl of the middle of quiet residential neighborhood.

Deputies had blocked off a large area and command post was set up on one end of the subdivision at Corral Lane and North Surrey Drive while the investigation progressed. Exit 191 from I-25 was closed for part of the morning while the investigation continued.

Hate to be a Debbie Downer, but GOD!

My thoughts are on my house and how to get it finished. We went with a 2 story modular on a basement, because I could not find anything I wanted. We figured this would be faster than building. However, we closed in March, the house was done at the factory in May, it was not brought here until August where it sat in a parking lot for three more weeks before they put it on a basement. Then they raised the roof and put plastic on it and left it for 3 more weeks. In that time we had some afternoon storms and plastic does not hold up against WIND. I told the builder that, but what do I know. Do you see where this is going. Yes we had water damage. I am going out of my mind, but hopefully we will be in in three weeks. Now my vent is over. Sorry it was so long.

Breathe in faith - exhale fear.. (Trying to psych myself into losing my fear of driving all the way to Florida alone after Christmas.. ;) )

Also - how does one know when they have run out of invisible ink? :confused3

DD5 peed in her pants 3 times at school yesterday. She's been doing this almost every day. Now I have to see the school social worker tomorrow. So my random thought is...how can you pee, and I mean totally soaked, 3 times in 2 hours? :confused3
I trust you are not a beer drinker? Not that I am accusing your DD5 of being one, but if you were (especially one with a small bladder like me) you would know the answer to your question. I was never allowed to drink on college road trips because we'd have to stop too many times.

Maybe it was the spandex...

a random thought:

Why are there flotation devices under plane seats instead of parachutes? :confused3

Now a days I have many random thoughts. I used to have clear thinking pre three kids. What happened?

If your seat cushion BECOMES a flotation device...why doesn't the plane just become a BOAT???

I can't remember who said that...some comedian...not a really famous one, I think.

When I went to Chicago in August, the flight attendant doing the safety drills actually said, "If this flight should become a cruise..."

On a flight to Orlando we were told, "If your seat becomes a flotation device, all previous safety instructions are irrelevant.." :rotfl:

Actually, I am, or was, a beer drinker. DD5, not so much. :rotfl2:

Here are my random thoughts:

My supervisor and I split the switchboard phone duty. She usually does 8-12:30 and I do 12:30 - 4:30. Most of my work can't be done during phone time - I need to be in various places to do my work. Today she got here at 10:30 because she wasnt feeling well. I figured that since I had covered the phones for 2 1/2 hours that I would only be covering it a couple of hours in the afternoon. But NOOOOOOOOO she expects me to cover the phones 12:30-4:30 too! I just don't think that's fair. I was planning on asking if I could work through a couple lunches and leave early on Friday. But now I don't think I should have to work through some lunches. She owes me - doesn't she?

My random thought: Virgo and I seem to have the same taste in men!

My random though: If this coworker doesn't stop coughing I am going to go nuts! He seriously drives me up a wall!

And now for my random funny moment on a plane. Me and DBF flew from Tampa to LI just last month. This one flight attendent was just funny. As we just made the last turn on the runway waiting to speed up and take off she put a bunch of peanut packets on the floor in the front of the plane. So as we started to leave the ground all the peanuts came sliding down the aisle. The lady was telling the aisle seats to pick up enough peanuts for everyone in their row because they were a lazy flight crew. For the first 10 minutes of the flight peanut packets just kept sliding down the aisle. :lmao:
