I have a bunch of last minute questions. I'll be in the parks next week at this time!

1.) Do I understand correctly that each person in my party has to have entered the park to get a fast pass? So I can NOT take everyone's tickets once we enter DL and go to DCA to get RSR FPs if we haven't already entered DCA, right?

2.) Just my DH and I need a shuttle to and from SNA to Red Lion. What is the least expensive or your favorite way to do this?

3.) Turtle Talk with Crush - Is it still in the Animation building?

Thanks for all your expertise!

Tandyc

1. If everyone has entered a park (DCA or DL) one person can take all the parkhoppers and cross to the other park to get FP. You CAN do it.

2. We just take a cab. About $35 each way.

3. Yes.

It's so strange how so many people say you cannot. I'm on a facebook page and received so many replies saying you couldn't when I asked this question and one person of the 10ish said you could. Since you're a DIS Veteran I totally trust you. Thank you for this clarification!

Agree with above poster regarding #1. I've done it myself on multiple occasions. So you now have 3 yes's ;)

You wouldn't believe the number of CMs will say that you have to have entered DCA to get a FP for Racers. Then they were surprised when I said "Watch me...."

Haha, yep, you can totally get FP'S for both parks after your tickets have been used to enter one, just did it a few days ago!

We used Super Shuttle, a shared van for 11 bucks per person per direction from SNA with the discount code on the Anaheim tourism bureau website. They send you texts as they are arriving and even a map that tracks the van as it approaches!

We also cooled off in the Animation building and took part in Turtle Talk with Crush (where I was a bit relieved not to have been noticed!), and the Animation Academy (where I drew a lovely Steamboat Minnie and Mickey!). Anna and Elsa are meeting in there too, which made it a bit more crowded.

Make sure to catch the Aladdin show, it is apparently going to be booted out in January! Plus it's so nice and air conditioned for a 45 minute break!

Have fun!

second the YES you can as long as the person is in one of the parks to start with.. .
we just get the flat rate taxi from the airport approx $45.

I've also taken my group's tickets over to DCA and gotten RSR and WoC FPs, while they stayed in DL. Perhaps the FB responses were confused because a lot of guests ask about having one person go get RSR FPs, while the rest of the group sleeps in, eats breakfast at the hotel, etc. In this scenario, the tickets wouldn't have been scanned to enter either park, so then the runner could not get the FPs.

1. You HAVE to have parkhoppers to do it, but as the experts above said - you CAN go to DCA and get FP's :)

2. Try Disneyland Express if you don't want to get a cab. It's $20 roundtrip and they have an unadvertised AAA rate. You could also hire an Uber

3. Turtle Talk is in the Animation building. It's going to undergo a refurb soon but I don't know if it's next week or later.

Have fun next week!!!:flower1:

I contacted Disneyland a few months ago about that very same question (question #1). And their answer was that yes, you CAN do this.

BUT....
  1. They have to be park hopper tickets.
  2. The other people in your party (i.e., the non-FP-runners) need to have entered either park that day to activate their tickets.
So what you cannot do is go to DCA first thing in the morning and get everybody's RSR FPs while everybody else is still in bed at the hotel, sleeping, and they haven't activated/used their tickets to enter 1 of the parks yet.

I think this is just a misunderstanding for some guests. As long as the tickets have been used that day and are therefore activated, they can be used to get FP tickets at any FP machine at the resort. People may have tried to use them while the rest slept in and it didn't work, so they assumed it doesn't work. Or they may have just been told that it doesn't work so they believe it.
