What do you guys think of a 17 year old girl dating/hanging out with a 24 year old guy? Is 7 years too big of an age gap in y'all's opinion? :scratchin

Meh, kind of. When you hit 18 it wouldn't be that much of a problem. I know people who are 20 dating people who are 27. You just have to cross that age where your legally an adult, and still a teenager and you should be fine.

^I completely agree. The older you get, the less age matters, but being 17, you just aren't at that point yet. Try sticking with guys your own age for now.

Well the actual hanging out portion of the question is fine..and if thats all your doing than thats fine too. I have a plenty of older guys that I hang with (20-24) and boy didnt I wish :) but they are too old..atleast for now..but hey, their is always a few years, eh??

yes what they have all said. My boyfriend is 2 years older than I am but he's 16 and I'm 14 so no big.

Well I think one thing a lot of people need to remember is the Age of Consent. Remember to wait 2 years or your bf could get locked up.

very good point.
i think that is what everyone has been hinting at.
I started dating my ex when i was 15 and he was 18 and we dated up until I was 18...and people thought that was a big deal.

I am still 17 and hanging out with people who range from 17-23 at college right now, and I dont feel uncomfortable with it. Then again I will be 18 in about 3 weeks... YAY!

Yeah I am doing the same thing (but I'm 18 lol) but there is a difference between hanging out and other stuff. A VERY BIG difference lol

NO AT ALL!!!!...my friend is 14 and she's going out with a 25 year old....yea i know..kinda gross:Pinkbounc :jester:  :sunny:

I think thats a lot!! There is a HUGE difference between a high school student and a college or out of college 24 year old!! Even if its someone you've dated through high school then they go to college, who is just a couple of years older than you. Life is so much different for a college student than someone who is still living with thier parents at home!!!

Roxter79- When i was 14 I dated a 16 year old! I dont think that is too old. I went to Prom when I was 14 and everything. It was cool:)

I remember him... :)

dang age difference  I just can't get along with guys my age...too immature...

I don't think age should be THAT big of a deal, JMO. No, there are always exceptions...I guess there should just be more factors involved than just age. I mean, maturity, is one big issue there. I get along better with people older than myself, for example. Thus, I'm attracted to guys who tend to be older. Can't tolerate the teenage boy behavior too well...;)

But anyway, because of the "legal issues..." :o

That's a huge age difference. Either the 25 year old has nothing better in his life to do than hang with an 8th grader, or he is just trying to get some from an 8th grader which is nasty if a 25 year old is doing it.

It scares me that you are 16 and already feel this way :(

yeah, I do think the 14:25 difference is a bit big...but I don't think the 17:24 is too bad.

Scares you? Seriously, the guys at my school are immature perverts who don't care about anything about their future...they only care about the next PS2 game coming out or how to sneak into some strip club out of town or getting high and drunk at parties. Please...it would scare me more if I DID find myself attracted to any of them.
