Never been to the 'Land. Is it like Magic Kingdom? You are lucky to live so close! We have many smaller amusement parks nearby, like Cedar Point and Hershey Park, but they are not really comperable to Disney World.

yes Disneyland is like the Magic Kingdom. We are lucky to live so close. Although I would love to go to Disney World. I really hope it works out in Dec. 09 before or after our cruise. I am thinking we have to do MVMCP before the cruise since they stop doing it about a week before Christmas right? And then maybe 2 days at WDW after. If things go according to plan, we'll be out for winter break after the cruise so we can stay a few extra days without missing extra days of school/work!

I've never been to CA so am not familiar with Disneyland. I've been to Hershey Park and Six Flags Great Adventure and they don't come close to Disney World.

We have Universal studios Hollywood here too, and Six Flags Magic Mountain, Knotts Berry Farm and then of course Disney's California Adventure!

mine either.........he does draw the line at crocs & fanny packs though.....

my DH won't wear a fanny pack if his life depended on it. I wanted to order us all crocs for the cruise, and he said no way. DS didn't want them either. So I ordered cute matching Disney ones for DD and I!

yes, it's very similar to the Magic Kingdom, although I have never been to WDW before. I do know they have a lot of the same rides!

Ok, moms of teens........ DS15 met a girl at bible camp last week. They went out as a group of kids from the camp last week. Well, now camp is over. Friend. girl. called today and asked DS to the movies (tonight). I was thinking I had a few more years until DS "dated" since you can't drive until 16 and a half in PA and DS was just 15 in May.

I said he could go to the movies.
I don't think I am old enough for a dating teen, though!

I hate to tell you this, but they start a lot younger than 15 around here. My DS is 12 and in middle school and while he doesn't have a girlfriend yet, he knows plenty of kids his age that are "dating".
