Tnbob/Kathy: Is that the dock, where Kathy & Ty are standing at the Fort, where somebody had posted a picture of a Gator chasing down a Bream or Bluegill that shot out under a dock.
Yupper, thats the dock a few days later, we dangled that one under there but he either was gone or not hungry. It's the dock right behind The Meadow Trading Post.
I caught this guy about 25 years ago. Played hooky from work and went out on a friend's boat. He went through 3 lines before I finally hooked him on the fourth line. Even though it only took about 25 minutes to bring him in it seemed like an eternity due to the amount of alcohol on the boat. Smoked Sailfish...mmm mmm good. Of course, these days, we release them.
ALso, figured I would post this one again about the one that got away.
Fish are friends, not food!!
Or, for those of you who speak whale
Fiiiiiissssshhhhhh arrrrrrreee frriiiiieeeeennnnnnnnddddssssss, nnnoooooottttttt fffooooooodddddd.
The picture below is challenging my memory. Well what remains of my memory.
Digging through a suitcase of Old Stuff, I come up with this picture. I actually asked my DW, "Is that me". Her answer was, affirmative and that's Paulie's cabin on Lake Ontario. Sandy Pond, west of Pulaski. That makes sense, I enjoyed fishing the Salmon River for Brown Trout and Steelheads. I don't think the fish is either.
There are some things in this picture, I have to challenge.
Was I that young once upon a time ?? I release all fish, unless badly injured. I would not use spinning gear if I was fishing the Salmon River. It is a pretty nice fish, but what is it ???? It looks like it is in the Trout/Salmon family, but I am stumped.
