random amazon gift card

I ordered a small item from amazon this morning and a random gift card for $13.00 was applied toward my purchase. Anyone else have this happen? Wondering if it is some kind of rebate?

You might have received a credit for kindle book price adjustment, for accepting slower delivery, or a refund for merchandise returned.
