After the make my kid feel special thread, I thought we all could relax and breathe a little easier. I personally have gone out of my way to demonstrate a random act of kindness tonite, when I was at Kings Island. I saw a little girl trip and was crying. I had gone to the park alone, sans kids and hubby, and played a few games. I won one big doggy for my daughter and two little monkeys. Her mom was checking her teeth for broken ones, and she was about 4 yo and bloodied mouth and knee. I asked her mom was it ok if she could have the monkey and wham! no more crying. Her older 5yo brother asked if he could have the other and all mom and grandpa could say is thank you and the kids would be sleeping with those animals tonite. The little girl was so distraught and I REALLY DON'T need the other toys I won. I played the games actually after I ate dinner so I wouldn't be sick riding the rides right afterwards. I felt good, making some child's and mom's too, life a little less frantic and didn't do it to be creepy. I even offered a little girl in a wheelchair with special needs a monkey, but her mom said she won't take them..she just likes touching them and looking at them. I just felt like being nice and did so.
Flame away if you must, but I hope to hear of others' charitable acts in the WDW and such.
Oh, and I don't know the clerks personally at my local grocery stores, but I have let my two children accept 2 dollar coins from an older gentleman who bags there, and treats from other associates ONLY if I am with them. They are taught not to address or take something from someone unless I give the ok. At 4 and 2.5 yo, they look at me before answering someone they don't know. I'm not paranoid, but I was almost abducted when I was 14 getting off the school bus one house over from mine, so I am a little overprotective.....but giving a glow stick to a kid, creepy? Think not. Last 4th of July a family next to us, handed my two little ones lite-up toys from the dollar store and said have a nice holiday! Big whoop! I want to hear how someone has helped make someone else's day magical!
People with attitude problems need not apply! Okay, rant is over now!

On our trip in Aug this year we were headed to Epcot late in the afternoon for our last time for the trip. We had been there earlier and my son loved Soarin. As we were waiting for the bus, he was telling us the only thing he wanted to do that evening was ride Soarin. We explained to him that it was later in the day, there may not be fastpasses left when we got there, and he is not the patient type to wait over an hour or more in line. He was disappointed he might not get to go again but understood. About 5 minutes later a woman came up to us and asked us which park we were waiting to go to - we said Epcot - and she said she had 4 fastpasses to Soarin for two hours from then but her family had decided not to go back to the park. (We have 4 people in our family!) We thanked her -my son was thrilled - and we had a great evening at Epcot. The next day we spent our final morning at Disney at the Studios. We got fastpasses for Toy Story Mania when we got there but they weren't for 4 hours. We decided to leave before the fastpass time - so we found a family of 4 and passed the good favor we had received forward to make another family's day. I'm sure lots of folks do the same sort of thing but this is the Disney magic I love! :)

We were staying at the Wilderness Lodge in July and this was the first time we went just me, my mom, and my two kids, my kids are 1 and 3. On the first day we were trying to figure out how to get on the bus with 2 kids and 2 strollers. My mom was carrying my son (1) and my daughter (3) by the hand while I was dragging the 2 strollers. It was hard b/c my daughter wanted me and this nice man asked if I needed help and took one of the strollers on the bus for me. I was soooo grateful! When we got off the bus, his wife helped get one of the strollers off. It just made our day that someone helped us like that! (After that I figured out, push one stroller and pull the other lol)

On our last visit 10/08 a young couple were watching my kis dd4 ans ds 3 dance in front of the castle and they asked if they could give them their wand and sword from their CRT meal. The kids loved it. Both are proudly displayed in their rooms. You plan and plan but its those random things everyday that make life special.
On our familys first trip in 1976 they were still using ticket books and one day a woman walked up to my MOM and handed her a bag of tickets ,they were leaving and could not use them. You would have thought it was Christmas morning. I also remember my MOM doing the same thing on the night we left. Random acts in WDW have ben going on for a long time. Enjoy your trips.

This is the way my DH is, still a gentleman whose Mom raised him right! We were at Home Depot last weekend and an older woman was struggling to put 4 patio chairs into her MiniVan, without hesitating he ran over and helped, even showed her how to work her stow and go seats (she had no IDEA!) she was so happy, she tried to tip him!!! sweet... That's why I love him wish more people were thoughtful like that! But you do seem to find more random acts of kindeness in WDW, maybe it's 'cause it's the Happiest Place On Earth!!!:lmao:

PS travelling in Oct/Nov with 3year old and 1 yearold please please please PM me with any tips/suggestions you found vital, or wish someone had told you...

Two years ago I was in DIsney with my sister, her DH and my then 2 yr old neice. She had one of those light up spinner toys that she had gotten cheap in Target. Well, I was holding it and dropped it...Crack! I broke it resulting in my neice crying! Well, this happened in front of a Disney Cast Member. He took the broken toy and brought me into the store by the Carrousel in MK. He told me to pick out anyone I thought my neice would like. I picked out a Tinker Bell one and gave it to my neice who was soooo happy! I offered to pay for the new one and told the castmember that the broken toy was not from Disney but from Target. He smiled and said not to worry about it! Just to have a magical night in Disney and to enjoy Wishes!
Thats Disney Magic!!

Two years ago, my husband and I took a trip to Disney World while I was pregnant. While DH was riding tower of terror, I struck up a conversation with a little girl maybe 5 years old or so and her mom. The little girl liked my trading pins and her mom had mentioned that she (little girl) had wanted to start collecting and trading pins..I told her to pick one of mine to start her collection..she got the one she wanted (one of my VERY favorites, but that little smile was very much worth it.) I saw them later in the day and she was trading pins with someone..I heard her say that she couldnt ever trade this one (pointing to the one that I had given her..) that it was her VERY,VERY favorite..I love that.:flower3:
