Has anyone used the Ramada Limited Buffalo Airport? They are offering an excellent rate for Park and Fly (one night stay and parking for two weeks for $56 + tax). I read some other reports on this hotel ranging from good to horrible.
Thanks..........

Hi,

I booked and stayed at the Ramada Buffalo in May 2006 and it was awful:scared1:

They made us park our car on a laneway beside the building and it was very close to the main street with no gated security or cameras.:confused3

The room was terrible, it had holes in the curtains and bedspreads, stains all over the rugs and the bathroom door had been kicked in. I couldn't wait to leave and was very concerned about leaving our vehicle :scared:

Fortunatly, the vehicle was OK while we were gone

This Ramada does not have the standards you would expect of the Ramada hotel chain

I will NEVER go back to the one in Buffalo :sad2:

No matter how good the price, I would look for something else.

iluvwesties (aka Carol) :wave2:

Never stayed there but wow that sounds BAD!

We stayed at either the best western or comfort inn a few years ago, It was fine. Parking, shuttle, and continental breakfast - all good. I think it was like $68.00. We went to Jackastors at the mall for dinner at the suggestion of the front desk person and we had a riot.:)

Yep. Experienced it. Great memory for life. Let me say first that my partner stayed there before this infamous stay and had a upgraded business room that was "fine" ...ie. absolutely fine for one night....she was pleased.....hence the second eventful stay.

The room....aw the room. Enough said.

So we have our bus shuttle scheduled for let's say 6:00. So at 5:28 we get this frantic phone call from the front desk. "Good morning. I need you to get on an earlier shuttle, the 5:30 come right down please, the 6:00 is overbooked and I don't see how we are going to get everyone to the airport on time"....(shuttle time are prebooked at check-in.

"WHAT?". "Ummm no". "You are going to have to figure this out. We have three children with us and we are not coming down now". She pleaded with us like the customers have to figure this out. "ummm...no".

So we all got on the 6:00 somehow and the driver was sharing how "crazy" the front desk CM was to phone a whole bunch of people to plead them to change and threaten them that they might not get to their flight on time. I think he calmed her down and worked something else out. Extra shuttle or something. He was amused and bewildered as we all were. She had tried many rooms that morning.

So fast forward to WDW. My parents and my sister and niece had arrived the following day. We had booked them into one of Ramada's family suites as well...the day after us. And they were sharing how gross it was. One of them opened up the pullout couch to go to bed and found little bits of brown that they thought at first were bugs but were some kind of food.

Holy crap. We had the same room. Yuck. The boys with us, our nephews, had some chocolate pop up tarts.....I guess in bed!!!!!! No one even opened the pullout couch, between guests, which is regularly used because this room is for larger parties. Unbelievable.

Awful stay. But great funny memories!!!!

Best of luck in your choice.

We have stayed there, it is a very old hotel in need of a big makeover. Didn't look, feel or smell clean. They are one of the best priced hotels in the area but you get what you pay for. We usually stay at Red Roof Inn or Econolodge both very reasonable priced and close to where the Ramada is but not sure if they have park n fly.

Last year (September) we stayed at the Days Inn that is right across the street from the Buffalo airport -- our rooms were great (DH and I had one room, my GF had another), very clean, very spacious -- and if we all had been going away for the week (GF and I were off on our cruise, but my DH was just the chauffeur), they offered park'n'fly service. We were very pleased with the hotel and would definitely stay there again.

We're just back from our trip. We were booked at the Ramada Limited, drove into the parking lot, looked at the place from the outside and determined we would NOT rest our heads there.

We ended up at the Holiday Inn on Genesee (across the street from the Airport) for about $30 more, but it was much cleaner and the parking lot was lit and patrolled. On our return, we spent the night at the Clarion (across Transit from the Ramada Limited), and that was nice enough, too.

Front desk clerks at both the Holiday Inn and the Clarion commented that the Ramada Limited is the one hotel they never send guests to if they themselves are sold out.

That place is disgusting. Spend a couple extra bucks and have piece of mind.

Thank you for the info. I had book at the ramada to for our trip in September.
Now we are going to stay at the Sleep Inn & Suites Buffalo Airport aka Days Inn. So glad I read these reports :)

Wondering if you could update this when you return as I am thinking about booking it for our Nov. trip as we will have 3 adults/2 kids, and need a suite.:)
Thanks.
