HI. I was wondering if anyone knew when Disneyland usually raises their prices for park hoppers and AP's. We aren't going until October and I don't know if we should buy them now or wait until october. Thanks :goodvibes

Last year they raised them on September 21st, I believe. We upgraded our hoppers to APs the day BEFORE, and didn't even know at the time they were raising prices! We paid $20 less for the upgrade b/c of our excellent and accidental good timing. :)

I know that I'm expecting the same around the same time this year.

Sorry, I'm hijacking for a second. So, they raise and drop the prices of the park hoppers every year?? Why do they do that?? And isn't Sept the offseason, so why would they raise them then?? Does anyone know when they drop them back down?? Sorry, but I've never heard of this before and just want to hear all about it. Thanks for any answers.

They only raise them...

They go up in September, but they never go "down"

Why? My guess is it's the end of the Summer season and the beginning of the holiday season. Why does any company raise their prices, because they can

So if I buy tickets now, will I be able to use them in September on our trip?

Oh, so they just raise the prices every year. I guess I've never noticed. This is the first DL trip that I have actually been the one doing the planning for. My mom has usually taken care of arranging everything. Thanks!!

How far out can you purchase park hoppers?? Could we get ours this Sept before they raise the price and use them in Sept 2009?

On another thread someone was mentioning that the tickets you can buy now are only good through the end of this year (they have an expiration date). I have seen some mention of that on the disneyland site on the ticket purchase pages.

So I don't think you could buy them now for next year.

In that thread, it was mentioned that Disney's fiscal year ends at the end of September, which is why hotel rooms don't have set prices (or you just can't book them right now) for next year, the ticket prices go up around that time, etc.
