I'm arriving tomorrow for our first visit and stay at Royal Pacific and the forecast f o r the week shows rain, rain, rain. Has it been a total washout these last few days or just showers here and there? Any ideas for occupying kids? Also concerned about our day planned for Discovery Cove! Hate to plan a fun time for months and then have bad weather but hoping for the best!

Summertime in Orlando means you have to account for rain, unfortunately.
My Weather Channel app says right now it's 84 degrees, partly cloudy, 71 percent humidity, with 50 percent chance of rain.

Remember in Florida you can have a mixed bag of rain weather. It can rain in the morning and be nice in the afternoon or sunny beautiful morning then rain in the afternoon. Take your ponchos and go for it. Remember a rainy day on vacation is better then a good day at work. Hope the weather works in your favor :flower1:

I live about 40 minutes North of Universal and it's poured in the afternoon/evenings for the past three nights. Calling for a 50% chance tomorrow too. Plan for rain so you are prepared.

Thanks all for the replies. We have done Disney a few times in July but rarely got caught in that summer rain - I guess we've been lucky! Looking forward to having fun no matter what mother nature brings! :sunny:
