Rainy Day Plan?

The post above regarding Splash Mountain reminds me of another advantage of the rain. If you are one of those people (like me) who wears a poncho on the wet rides regardless of the weather, the rain gives you the perfect opportunity to wear a poncho without other riders making comments or shooting you condescending looks!

On a negative note, on one trip we were caught in the rain at both MK and DHS. There was no issue at MK; they let you keep your poncho when you entered the attractions. DHS didn't and I ended up getting soaked from constantly taking my poncho on and off.

A dis'er gave me this advice "don't check the weather, your trip is already payed for". The weather reports are usually wrong especially regarding rain. I have personally never had rain but I did get snow once. My Dsis on the other hand, has had all rain all the time.

Severe weather being a hurricane? They will close up shop and get people to shelters. Severe weather being thunderstorms? Put on you rain jacket and keep on trucking. Some rides such as Astro Orbitor, BTMRR and the like will close, but everything else stays open. Rain and lightning are pretty common occurrences at WDW, and most stuff goes on. Fireworks may be cancelled if it's not safe, and they should give you a refund in that case.
