Has anyone used their Safari Club Card at either of the two Rainforest Cafe restaurants at WDW? How long did you have to wait to be seated? Did you receive all of the benefits?

Troy

We used ours in December. It was a Saturday night, and there was almost a 2 hour wait. With the card I think we waited about 25 minutes. Much better than the alternative!:D

Hi TroyWDW, dmonroe and everyone, what is the Safari Club Card and how do I go about obtaining one? My family and I love the Rainforest Cafe but, dislike the wait. We have a little one and waiting and waiting for a table can get difficult.

Any information regarding this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

22 days to go to WDW again!

When I used mine last June, I got a free appetizer of their chicken quesadillas. It was enough for my whole meal! I think it was around $7 - $8 on their menu. Great deal!

We have used our card plenty of times at both locations and never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a seat (even when the wait was 2 hours +).

That is one of the best deals around: You pay $15 but you get a $10 certificate back, $5 for your birthday, priority seating, and in the CT one at least, you just show your card and do not wait in line. You have priority seating.

Each time you eat you get either a free appetizer or 10% off your meal. Regardless, you still get 10% off your store purchases...
For Valentine's day this year, I called an hour ahead of time and having the place booked that evening, I still got in.

I got my card when we ate there but people may apply through their website too, I think. Or just call them for an application

We have used our Safari Club card in dt disney this past Jan.

Wait was about l0 min and the place was full.

We go to the Rainforst at the Mall of America several times a year, so the card has paid for itself.

we also have the safari club but have yet to use it at WDW. We were declined reservations a few Saturday nights ago at our local Rainforest Cafe because they had a wait of 2 hours and told us that they could not honor our Safari club card!!! We went elsewhere but now that I think of it, I should of complained being denied a reservation........unless there is a fine print somewhere that I didn't read or understand.

We have used ours 3 or 4 times in Orlando and have always been taken right to the head of the line to get the next available table. They also send you $5.00 coupons for food/merchandise on the anniversary of your membership with them and your birthday.

You can sign-up by visiting a Rainforest Cafe restaurant or call the phone number: 800-552-6379 ext. 5235

Glad to hear that RFC at WDW is honoring the priority seating.

We have used our Rainforest Club card many times at the Downtown Disney restaurant and have never waited more than 10 minutes. We have used it at other locations, and have been seated immediately no matter what the wait was. It's worth the investment.

The lady was helpful but I will be leaving before the membership could be processed and mailed out. Her suggestion was to sign up at the restaurant when we go. I plan to do so earlier in the day and avoid the waiting later.

Let me get this straight....
If you have this card, you can just show up without a reservation
at RFC in Downtown Disney-even on a Saturday night-and be seated in a timely fashion? Hey-I'll get the card!
Am I right?

Thanks!
We plan to go to DTD the Saturday before Labor Day-super crowded,I know, so I can use any advantage. My DD really wants to go to RFC-she's an animal freak!

At WDW, when you use the Safari Club Card
1) Do you get a free appetizer every time you eat there?
2) Can you use the AP discount or Disney Club discount (I think they are both 10%) and still get the free appetizer?

If so I think I'll be signing up for it. Do you automatically recieve the $10 certificate or is it something you have to mention when signing up?
