I've done the length of cruise pass for the rainforest on the Magic and Wonder, but I hear the experience is quite different on the Disney Dream. I heard that there is a specific order that you should use for the showers and steam rooms to get the most out of your experience. Does anyone know what this is?

Interesting... I have never used any of the Rainforest amenities in any particular order. I just left the Dream this morning and spent quite a bit of time in the Rainforest over the weekend.

Maybe when they give you the tour (which was a long time ago for the first time I went in there) they give you a suggestion of what to do first, but nothing specific that I can recall.

I'm sorry that this isn't helpful to your request but, as a first time Disney cruiser, what is the "rainforest"?

The Rainforest Room is part of the Senses Spa and Salon aboard the Disney Dream. It is $16 per day for unlimited access and includes three sauna-steam rooms, a variety of ocean inspired showers, heated stone loungers, and two Jacuzzis. You also receive complimentary tea and water, showers and lockers in the changing rooms, and sandals and robes for use in the rooms. Bathing suits must be worn in the Rainforest Room.

We just got off the Dream today. This was the first cruise (we've sailed 7 times with Disney) that we were told of an order to do things. We were given our scrubs (you get one for each day) and told to put those on first and then to go to the Hamam (sp?) sauna to let the oils soak in. You then rinse off in the shower of your choice (4 to choose from). We then went to the hot tub.

Do you get the scrubs if you buy a one day pass prior to the cruise? I don't know if I'd go everyday so I was planning to buy a day or two.

Thank you. Did you get the scrubs automatically or do you pay for them separately?

When you show up for the rainforest room, they will tell you the preferred order to use the rooms for the scrubs, but it is by no means required. It is a 'self guided' spa experience. The scrubs are generally an add on charge of either $7 or $9.

No. They are available onboard and do not come with the prepurchased day pass. I am pretty sure they are $ 7.00 to 9.00 each. I purchase the length of cruise pass and make sure I go everyday for an hour or two. :) I have late dinner and don't see the shows anymore, so I will go up there at about 5:30 when it is quiet.

We bought the 3 day rainforest pass for $102 on embarkation day. They came with our choice of 3 scrubs (they have 4 options). I don't know if you pre-purchase the rainforest pass if you get the scrubs though. Also, we had the hot tub to ourselves every night. Their was always space (lots of space) for the heated chairs and we were always alone in the saunas. This cruise was supposed to be about 3400 people according to our server.

Hey cruise mate!
It was definitely a lot less people than usual on this sailing. I think the sign at GS was incorrect about it being a sold out cruise. lol

When we checked in, we asked about upgrades and they said they were available (around 1 pm). When we went to GS on the ship around 30 minutes later, there were signs on the counter that said the ship was full. Server confirmed later that the ship was not full.

So strange. We were boarding group 1 and I went to get the gingerbread house tickets right off the bat. My husband noticed the sign at that time at GS about it being a full sailing. Looks like they could not make up their minds. lol
Oh and I took a picture of the preferred lot at about 4 something and it was practically empty...same as when we arrived home Monday. The parking garage had the two top decks and most of the one below that empty on Friday at sailaway. I wonder why they would not offer paid upgrades if they were not sailing full?

Quick question(s) about the scrubs are they Disney themed? Also what sizes do they extend to? My husband is a big guy and wears a 3X-4X tee.

The scrubs are sugar scrubs that you rub on your arms/legs. They are scented orange/vanilla, chocolate, lavender and one that I can't remember. They are not hospital scrubs.

The scrubs being referenced are skin scrubs. Things like body salts and oils. Not scrubs like a doctor or nurse would wear. There are robes available in the locker rooms, but i'm not sure about the men's sizes.

We are going on the dream and want to do length of cruise passes without the scribe, is that still an option

Recommend you head over to the spa as soon as you embark. We were on the Magic two weeks ago and were told only 30 couples week-long passes were to be sold. They limit the number so as not to have the Rainforest too crowded. Not sure how many individual/daily passes are sold, but it wasn't crowded.
