What time should I make our ps for Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney? We're leaving MK on Friday evening when it closes (6:00). Just not sure how long it will take us to get out of the park, on a bus and at Downtown Disney. I'm thinking 7:00 is pushing it - should I go for 7:30?

I don't think the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney has Priority Seating. Thats what I was told from a CM at the Disney Dining number.

We did it this past February, but you have to call the restaurant directly. It has saved us major waiting time in the past. I think I'll just go with 7:30. If we're early, I'm sure we'll find something to do.

We have a PS at the RFC in DTD on our arrival day. When I called to make other PSs, the CM was kind enough to let me know I had to call RFC directly and even gave me their number.

I would get the Safari Card membership and you won't have to worry about having a ps! We showed up on Sun., Dec. 7th at 6:00 and went from an hour wait, to "next seating", which was about 10 minutes. The card is well worth it and doesn't expire!

In theory, that is the only thing I don't like about the membership. I have it, and actually like it, but I was told by a RFC at DD that priority seating worked exactly like making a reservation at that place. Whether you are a member or not, make your reservation!

sorry could you explain what you mean by this since according to the SC literature they have either reservations you make up to 24 hrs ahead or ps where you get the first available table...when I talked to wdw dining about ak rfc she said i didn't need ps since they make their own as above.(with the SC)?
thanks

Just a heads up that you won't be able to take a bus directly from Mk to DTD I don't believe. You'll need to use a resort as a transfer point. You could walk over to CR though and do it from there.

jann1033, it was my experience booking a dinner at Downtown Disney's RFC for Dec 19. I repeated what they told me.

We have an RFC in Connecticut and I even tried to book ressies hours ahead, even tried to get in ahead of the line with my membership, and still had to wait like anyone else in the line.

Just play it safe and book a ressie ahead of time, my advice...

thanks I had a res. that I had to change and the CM told me I didn't need it but think i'll make one "just in case"! I wonder if they are having some changes to policy as someone else posted about something else being different ( what it wa escapes me but will probably remember as soon as I try to do it and can't!)
