Rainforest Cafe hours and reservations

I don't see any open reservations at either Rainforest Cafe for our February trip. Does the one at AK really close at 6pm since the park closes early? Any experiences calling the restaurant directly for reservations? Anyone used the dining plan here for a dinner reservation? DS loved TREX last trip and wants to try Rainforest.

usually the rainforest cafe at animal kingdom closes one hour after park close

TREX and Rainforest give very few ressies to Disney dining, you have to call them directly. never had a problem that way

I jut plugged 2/2 and there are a lot of openings at RFC AK

when I answered earlier I missed about dining plan. yes we used plan to pay for dinner even when we called Rainforest directly
