Does anyone know of where I can get a hold of an online coupon for Rainforest Cafe? My DD birthday is today and she wants to go to Rainforest and I was wanting to save a few bucks.
Keep in mind that My Points can be redeemed for a Rainforest Cafe gift card. We have $50 worth (If I can find that other $25 card ... ) to use on our arrival night. Should pay for dinner and, hopefully, a souvenier. I get so many compliments on the sweatshirt I got at the Mall of America.
The Safari Club is a great deal if they still have it. (I just checked their website, and they still have it on there. http://www.rainforestcafe.com/ - click on "Ozzie" ) In addition to the regular savings, they send you a ten dollar coupon after you sign up, and another coupon on your birthday. It also gives you priority seating (almost the biggest benefit, IMHO) -if the place is crowded, you get the next available table for your party size! It also works at other Landry's restaurants too - like Joe's Crab Shack.
I just sent away for 2-$25 Rainforest Cafe gift certificates from Mypoints- and they came in a matter of days!! I also signed up for Safari Club and received my $10 coupon last week. Had to drive 40 miles to get to the closest one from our house- but you all had the same idea as me. Now we have a free dinner for one night at DL. (If you don't count the half tank of gas I used getting there)
I believe it was $10. You have to wait until you get there to sign up, but it didn't take long at all. As mentioned, bypassing the wait is the best benefit.
I got my anniversary coupon this year and got a birthday one last July.
Are you keeping your membership active? I don't recall exactly what that requires, but I always make the cashier put in my membership number when I buy something in the gift shop, since we don't eat there very often.
Sometimes they give me trouble about that, and the last time the girl was very testy about it. If you're buying something on clearance, they insist they don't need to put it in because you won't get an additional discount, but I always make them do it anway.
Haven't taken the time to read all the terms and conditions of membership since I joined, but I do vaquely recall something about it expiring if unused.
My birthday is May 15. I got my certificate in April this year and it is good until July 10. So, roughly two months after my birthday but I could have used it as soon as I got it.
