Is Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom before you get to the ticketing gate? How different is the Rainforest Cafe at Disney from the Rainforest Cafe you find in big cities? Thanks.

You can enter before the gate. We have eaten there twice and really enjoyed it.

It's the same as all the rest of the RFC.
I like it and we usually have lunch there on AK day

Echoing what others have said, it isn't in the park but there is a separate entrance to RFC so you don't have to go out and around. It's pretty different from the mall locations, though, since it's bigger with a themed exterior. AK's RFC also has twice as many animatronics and features as your typical mall location, with five elephants, nine gorillas, and two jaguars. There is more as far as room separation goes as well which makes exploring a little more fun.

Yes, you can get into RFC without going through the AK turnstiles. The entrance is to the left as you approach the park ticket booths.

This RFC is no different from what you will find at the one in Disney Springs or in any of the big cities.

It's not different and there are so many better restaurants at WDW!

The only difference is that the AK location serves breakfast

At AK, for breakfast in particular, I don't know that there is a better restaurant. I like the Rainforest's steak and eggs with a Bloody Mary and Café au Lait. Also, the square footage or layout is definitely better than the few others I've been in, except maybe DL's. That one is probably pretty close to AK's.

We really enjoyed the breakfast at the AK location on our last trip. We have booked it for breakfast again on our upcoming trip.
