Rainforest Cafe at AK

I was wondering if anyone knew if we are on the regular (free dining) plan can we eat here? I read on the Disney site that it accepts the dining plan...but thought I read someplace that it was only for folks on a DELUX dining plan. I can make ADR's on Monday (same day FD should be opened up)...and didn't want to book someplace that my plan won't be accepted. Also...since AK closes at 5 pm...do they take 5 pm reservations? All other days our dining choice is 5:30...but I doubt we could do that at AK...so do they accept 5 pm? Thanks!!

Yes, they accept all the dining plans (except the quick service plan) as of this year.

rainforest cafes are not terrible...but not exceptional either.

It would be a bad use of your dining credit...unless you are certain that you have to eat at animal kingdom.

I would skip the sit-down at AK and just eat at flame tree quick serve. The sit-down quality at AK is pretty bad overall. Boma over at the lodge would be a more interesting use of your dining credit if you can hop the bus over and back as well.
