Rainforest Cafe and Dining Plan?

I checked the 2012 dining plan page and Roainforest Cafe was listed on it so I made a reservation. When the confirmation came up it said that Rainforest Cafe is NOT a part of the Disney Dining Plan. Any thoughts?

The reservation system has not yet been updated. RFC just began participating last week (Jan 1). The information in the Dining Plan pdf on the Disney website has the accurate information and it does list the RFC so you will be fine.

SO I should just wait a little longer to try to make the reservation online or would I be better off just calling?

We ate there last week on the DDP for the first time since we started using the ddp. We were the 1st people our waitress had on the plan. She was very good and asked for our card to be sure what we had and what she need to do. There were no restrictions on the plan other than the volcano was for 2 or 3 people's dessert. She quoted us that any refillable drink was included but I heard the table next to us ask if they could have a smoothie for a drink and were told yes but not refills. AT the end of the meal, she was not sure how to ring up the tip and had we not caught it, she would have not gotten her tip. We showed her how that was done and she was so thankful. She was a wonderful waitress, as good as any WDW owned restaurant we ate at.The chief was also very attentive in attending to our allergy needs. It was a good meal and we really enjoyed it a lot.

Regarding the volcano for dessert...were you allowed to order it to split between several people on the DDP or is it just not an option?

It is allowed as a shared dessert. I think it was a three person share. We had three adults and a child and we got one and did not even finish it. Ours meals were really large!
