Rain, Surprise Birthdays, Rain, First Visits -(Ginny is deceased-Prayers for her.)

Hi Ginny and all my other friends!

Great football pictures. We have finally found out that Hunter won't be playing this year. There simply weren't enough boys to make up a Tackle II team. I so wish I had known this about a month ago and I could have signed him up to play for the middle school he is attending. Hunter may have been one of the smallest on his team but he was good. His coaches always liked him because he wasn't afraid to play any position. Hopefully, next year, there will be a team. If not, he'll be playing for public school.

I hope that the senior portraits turn out well. I took all of Lacey's senior pictures with the exception of her cap and gown pictures. The photographers around here were charging two arms and a leg for senior portraits. We went to a local park and took about 300 pictures. They ended up looking as good as the professional ones.

We had a good time at Canton, Texas yesterday. My 75 year old mother went with us. We took the walking very slowly and we made sure to rest several times during the day. She hadn't been in about 15 years and had a great time just looking around.

Hope you have a great day off tomorrow!

Lisa

You are a great photographer. I bet they did turn out well. I'm not so great cause I don't see well enough. I point and shoot, just like the camera says. :rotfl2:

His photos will be on line so when they are I'll send the info. Her sitting fee was not expensive but I'm sure the photos won't be cheap.

That is great you mom got to go with you. I'm sure you enjoyed your day.

You enjoy your tomorrow and prepare for Tuesday. That is the only bad thing about a Monday holiday.

Ginny

but a monday holiday means you only have four days of the week left...or in Danny's case three :yay: :yay:

Lucky Danny. Don was off Friday too. So he got 2 four day weeks. Tuesday is my early day. I'm thinking of taking off at 345 and going to Andrews soccer game. It is about 1 hour away. And I know I can't go Thursday nite. We'll see how Tuesday goes.

OK, I can finally post. I love the football pix. We ate at Logan's Steakhouse yesterday, but I would have loved some Red Lobster. Dallas thinks the biscuits are the best. Dale cooked out today and it was sooooo good. We had steak, sausage, chicken breast, potato salad, baked beans and rolls. I am making myself hungry again.........lol.

I love RL but Don is not crazy about it. My fav is the coconut shrimp. We had Ollive Garden and never ending pasta bowls. It was really yummy. They have a new parmesean alfredo sauce with spinach.

I knew you would like the football pix. We are cooking out tomorrow. Aust will miss. He has practice from 3 to 8 tomorrow. This Friday night game will probably be a major disaster. We play the team that has been #1 in the state for the past 8 years. Then Saturday morning we have to get up major early and go to Don's boring family reunion. At least we have a motel so I will take the puter in case they have internet. I can sneak away for awhile. There are no Starbucks or McDonalds. What am I going to do? We will come home fairly early Sunday. It is about a 2 1/2 hour drive.

PM me your address if you would like a bottle of Don's wine. I will mail on Tuesday to my new girlfriends.

Have a great day tomorrow. Rest up for your next work day.

I love Olive Garden and Red Lobster, but we don't go often. Can't eat out much. ;) Matt doesn't like RL anyway. He doesn't like seafood. But sometimes my mom, my SIL, and I will go. SIL LOVES crab. She was in agony the whole time she was pregnant because she couldn't have crab. RL was the first place she went after having my nephew. I mean the first place she went out to eat.

I think we are going to the Belt Loop Frenzy for Will's cub scouts. We went last year and he got 4 belt loops. I'm not sure what they'll have available, but he loves getting the belt loops at the Pack meetings, so I think we're going to go before he has baseball practice at 5:45.

We were supposed to cookout today, but my nephew is sick, so my brother isn't coming over. My mom went over there. I'm starting to have this fear that the kids will get sick in the next 10 days. One of Will's teammate's sister had H1N1 last week. She's fine now, but I SO don't want the boys to get sick before we go. I wish I could keep them home for the next two weeks. Oh well.

Have a great Monday everyone!

We will pray for good health for everyone so they will be able to make safe and healthy journeys. My Alex is in 5th grade and getting ready to move up in Scouts. Not sure exactly what. Tim was an Eagle Scout and is really enjoying the time with Alex. Sandi is sad cause she won't be able to help anymore when he moves up.

You have a great day. I'm getting ready to hit the store.

Ginny

happy Labor day everyone!!
Hope yall are enjoying this faboulous monday. i know i am.

Heather,
i hope your nephew feels better soon. ill pray your kids stay healthy before you guys leave. that is the one thing no one wants before going on vacation. just keep the medicine handy!

Hello! all
hope your Monday has been a relaxing one...I stayed in bed w/Ashton and watched Peter Pan this morning after we woke up...Danny came in a asked if we were going to sleep all day! Ashton looks at him an says "WE NOT SLEEPING, WE WATCHING PETER PAN!!" :lmao:
I got up washed last nites dishes, did a batch of lite clothes, (helped Ashton work in his "Handy Manny" math workbook--this is his wkbk when Chloe is not here),folded four batches from the week that I kept hiding in a basket:rotfl2: and have two baatches left (they may wait till tomorrow;) )!!!
Danny & Dayne just wanted to sit around today and relax...:cutie:
so Dayne has been watching tv and building puzzles w/Ashton; right now they are soooo cute...Ashton is sitting on Dayne's back and reading his Dr Suess book "one fish, two fish,..."

Oh! well, I'm blabbering here...

Hey Heather, just curious...why your SIL did not eat crab when she was PG!:confused3 I hope your nephew feels better:goodvibes and Gwendolyn and I were just talking about how the bug is going around. We already have hand santizer we are going later to get all of us saline nose spray to use twice a day. It is thought that if you clean your nasal passages a few times it will help to prevent bugs:idea: worth a try anyway!
:wave2:

I love to go to OG and get the salad and bread sticks. Dale doesn't like it though so I hardly ever get to go there. Since we cooked out yesterday I fixed corn dogs and French fries today......lol.

I'm glad I don't have to deal with a family reunion on Dale's side. The further away they stay the better I like it :scared1::lmao:. They are a very pretentious bunch and I just can't get into that.

I have been praying the swine flu stays away from all of my family and friends. I reinforce hand washing and sanitizer when hand washing isn't an option. There is no way to completely protect from it, but we just have to do our best.

I hosted a family reunion for Danny's family a number of years ago (before Danny's daddy was completely in bed). It was so much fun; I would never have my family over I don't have much but I would probably be robbed! (I don't even want them to know where I live :confused3 --that's my mom's side; and on my dad's side they have a few of those also and if you can't invite everyone don't invite anyone!)

I like OG & RL --Danny can't stand RL and he stays away from OG although when he eats there he always says he enjoyed it :confused3

I get to go to Red Lobster tomorrow night with Austin. Sheri, Mike and Don are going to Andrew's soccer game so Aust and I get a date. We used to have date night a lot but it's been years. Friends sorta got in the way. I'm way excited.

I had 27 first cousins on my dad's side and have lost 4 of them. We have a reunion every other year. It lasts 4 days and generally about 20 cousins and families come. There is a resort we use at Grand Lake in Oklahoma and we rent the whole resort. We get 2nd and 3 generation. There are no aunts or uncles left except for my mom (all inlaws, an aunt in Iowa and an aunt in Oklahoma). The other two aunts come but not my mom. She's 85 you know. That is her excuse for not leaving the house. The Iowa aunt is 90 and just got over uterine cancer and the aunt in Oklahoma is 88 and doing well.

If this were Don's immediate family it would be different. His ancestory is a great great grandma who was on the Trail of Tears and this is different relations that connect back to her. His immediate family doesn't have reuniions anymore. There were 12 brothers and sisters in his dads family and they have lost 3. Don's dad is the oldest at 85 and the youngest is 64. 2 uncles have colon cancer and Don's niece died from it 3 years ago. She was 33.

Work tomorrow. Ych

Connie, you're not supposed to eat shellfish when you're pregnant. I forget why. There's something that can get to the baby. It just one of those "don't eat" things.

Thanks for the prayers guys. I've told you all before about my anxiety problems, and that is just my current obsessive thing to worry about. Last time we went to Disney (two years ago) Will got pneumonia the Saturday or Sunday before. Or Monday. Something like that. So he was out sick from school all week the week before Fall Break. That Friday we had planned to check him out from school around 1:00 to leave (he was in Kindergarten at the time). Instead, we took him back to the doctor for a recheck around 9:00am, they said he was okay, and we left for Disney. We stopped on the way down that time in Ocala so it wasn't that big of a help that we left early. But at least he was okay by the time we left. With all the stuff going around, and the fact that H1N1 is obviously everywhere now, I just want the next four days (and the four days they are in school next week) to go by without incident. Will has never had a quarter where he had perfect attendance because he always misses at least a couple of days being sick (I thought he was going to make it the last quarter of last year, but he got sick with a fever the last two or three weeks of school and missed a day). I know there is no way we will get through the winter without a couple of trips to the doctor, I just don't want it to be in the next three weeks.

I appreciate the prayers!

Now I (really) AM headed over to my own thread where no one (including me) has posted in the last three days. You'd think I'd keep better track of it 10 days before my trip!

Well, I guess being from south LA! when I was pg for Gwendolyn I ate boiled shell fish EVERY Friday!:confused3 (crabs, shrimp, crawfish)!
Even with Ashton it was not on my list of NOT eats...the only food that was on my list was raw fish and raw meat...and to not to eat oily type fish more than once a week.:confused3
Oh! well!!! every doctor says something different and all studies are knocked by another study:rotfl2:
I was just wondering; anyone reading this just remember to do what your doctor recommends!:upsidedow

When I was pregnant you could smoke, drink and about anything else you wanted to do. I didn't do any of it but the Docs just said moderation. For a while it was the iodine in the shellfish they didn't want you to have but then they said it was only canned salmon and sardines. So who knows.

Good Morning! dear sweet Ginny!
Hope your day is going well! we are getting ready to run a few errans and trying to decide if I want to go somewhere out with the tots! need to see what the weather is going to be like, I guess that will decide for me!
Have a great day!
and have fun tonight w/Austin at RL! if I don't get back around before this afternoon!
can't wait to hear what cake you come up with tonight!

Morning Ginny:

Hope you are doing well. You BETTER eat lunch today....do you hear me? We don't want another one of your "I don't know where I am but I'm going to pretend like I do" spells.

OMG. That is exactly how I act too. You sound just like my daughter. She scolds me royally when I do that. I am going to have lunch today. A light one cause tonite is Red Lobster. Yum. This time I was wise and sat and gathered my thoughts instead of just hopping up and running in circles. I think it helped. Have a great day

Hey, Ginny! I made it over! I've been doing a few chores, watching a movie or two, cooking dinner in the crock pot, about to make brownies with Mitchell, but I wanted to read the birthday update.

I LOVED that she cried when she saw Sandi. Isn't that just the sweetest thing ever? I love all the pictures and poses. What a wonderful birthday that was for her. I just love all of the surprises!!! Cute crown and wand, by the way! Too cute about the sign on the back of the car, too. When you guys do it, you do it right! :thumbsup2
