Rain, Surprise Birthdays, Rain, First Visits -(Ginny is deceased-Prayers for her.)

Hey, Ginny! I made it over! I've been doing a few chores, watching a movie or two, cooking dinner in the crock pot, about to make brownies with Mitchell, but I wanted to read the birthday update.

I LOVED that she cried when she saw Sandi. Isn't that just the sweetest thing ever? I love all the pictures and poses. What a wonderful birthday that was for her. I just love all of the surprises!!! Cute crown and wand, by the way! Too cute about the sign on the back of the car, too. When you guys do it, you do it right! :thumbsup2

Wasn't it just the sweetest when they saw each other. I had one of Sandi from the other side but when I flipped around to get Sheri I guess it wasn't long enough in between so I lost Sandi's. That was pure delight in this mother's eyes.

We did have such fun we silly girls. I got tickets today to go see Mama Mia on stage. It was in Vegas when we were there last year but we went to see Phantom instead. It will just be Sheri and I on Oct 10. We are way excited. We love the music. I even have the movie on my itouch.

Sandi brought the wand and crown with her. I wish we had it at the restaurant. She sure sucked us dry for 'her birthday'. I made her choose everything we did. Don said he scrubbed 2 hours to get the tape off my car. I couldn't find the regular tape so I used that packing tape with the strings in it. I got a little scolded.

Girl!!! Danny would kill me if I put anything on the outside of his car...if I set my purse on it he will come in and fuss "did you put something on the car in such such spot" I would have had to put it in the back window...
he would definatley kill me if I put tape on the car! :lmao:
but, the scolding was worth it for the fun and surprises ya'll shared :upsidedow

Don was really sweet about it all. He cleaned it then came in and told me. I know Thurs. morning I ripped the sign off (It wasn't my birthday) and some of the tape stuck. It had set out in the sun for 24 hours so it was really stuck. It is my car, now if I did that to his truck I'd been in trouble for sure. I don't drive his vehicle. I'm short and I don't like climbing in. Cindy always wants to drive when we go places. She has an Escalade and is 6ft 1 so it's not hard for her to climb in. I struggle. I set a carton of cokes on the trunk one day and instead of picking it up I scraped it across. It was a green car. Eek. It was bad.

Danny drives a company truck! and we share a car; but we have always had the rules that it is OURS; not his and not mine; OURS! before the company truck and we had a car and truck it was still ours! Now, it want a Navigator (gotta win the lottery first :lmao: ) too much fuel, insurance, and I really don't need it but a few times a year! :lmao:

now, before we got PG we bought the mustang with the intention that the following we were going to buy a two seater t-bird "black" ooooh sooo fine! but we had Ashton instead :upsidedow

I always wanted that little t-bird in that pretty blue color. I don't see that happening either. But I decided it is way more fun to do things with the kids than to drive a cool car. It just gets you somewhere and back. I'd take Ashton over any car out there.

yeah you're right! we said that after Ashton was born:hug::cloud9::littleangel:

Danny came home today; his friends wife went out and bought him a 9k four wheeler for the upcoming hunting season...he says how nice...I told him when I start getting 9k gifts; I'll buy him 9k gifts...:rotfl2:

than I asked do you want their bills to go with all that they have?!?:confused3 the answer of course was no way!!! if he loses one of his two jobs or she loses her job they are screwed!:scared1: don't care to live that way!

I so could not live that way. I like to spend my money I earn after everything else is taken care of. I tell my kids the money is not being left for them. We are spending it with them while we are here. We earned ours and they can earn theirs too.

Whoa- I'm gone for a few days & I missed several pages!!! I LOVED the birthday pics- it looks like you all had a wonderful time. How was your dinner with Austin? I better not miss any more days on the boards- I miss too much!!! :rotfl:

Good Morning, Ginny! I hope your day is going well. Boy, the flu is going around here pretty bad. I hope none of us get it!

I sent Mitchell to daycare this morning. It's now nine o'clock and no word yet from daycare, so I'm thinking he's gonna make it. Poor baby. I would have loved to have sat home another day with him, but I had to go back to work eventually! I needed one more mommy & Mitchell day, just to hold him and snuggle. He's the best snuggler in the world!

Good morning! almost afternoon Ginny!
hope your day is going smoothly  Ashton and I are bumming(WE ARE WAITING FOR THE "Goofy Movie" to come on; raining out w/thunder (we need it--although Danny & daddy just cut their grass) Daddy had his gold seeds inserted yesterday for his radiation treatments, I hope he remembered to get a medical card so as not to set off the alarms at the airport! :lmao: they are going to Vegas in Oct. and he starts his treatment when he gets back! So, he can not cut the grass...I guess Dayne will be cutting grass this weekend!

Have a great day!!:wave2:

Glad to see you back April. I missed you these past few days. Hope your long weekend was good. Dinner was devine. He had an order of every kind of shrimp they had. I love to watch him enjoy his groceries.;)

I hope Mitchell does well today. That is so hard to leave them. I so understand about having to work tho. stinks. The flu is going around here too. We have had several cancellations during the week pop open. Rare for us. 40 patients a day tend to wear you out. We aren't even trying to refill them. The quiet is kinda nice.

I love the Goffy Movie. It is so raining here today. Could not find any of my 3 umbrellas to get to work so had to rain thru the drops. I don't run fast. I get to my office and there are 2 umbrellas here. Who knows where the 3rd one is.

So sorry about dad. I hope he has a wonderful time in Vegas. That's a place to go to forget your worries.

Aust will be 18 on Oct 1. Homecoming is the 2nd so on the 3rd we are all going over to the Downstream Casino to celebrate his birthday. You only have to 18 in Oklahoma to play the slots. His best bud Joel and mom (Cindy) and maybe his dad are going. My bro Gary and sis in law Sharon, my bro Tom. I told him I was giving him $100 to blow. So have fun. Remember as you get older don't go unles you have extra money. It is just for fun. You will not get rich. Maybe he'll have beginners luck.

It will be a good thing for Dayne to help his grandpa with the grass. It should make him feel good that he helped. Don's still waiting for the boys to come do his. Don't see it happening. Mr. Particular. I swear he gets down there with scissors. :rotfl2:

Everyone have a great day.

Yeah, it was hard to leave Mitchell today. You know, as a momma, you want to be with them when they aren't feeling so well. It stunk having to put work first today. If I hadn't been on vacation all last week, then without a doubt I'd have called in again to be with him.

Connie: at our Wal-Mart, they have Goofy Movie on sale for ten dollars. It was thirteen and I was gonna get it for Mitchell for Christmas. It's one of his favorites. I think I'm going to go ahead and get it and put it up. Time to start Christmas shopping!!!

All you PLANNERS out there know what I'm talking about! ;)

I bought my first Easter gift yesterday(disney princess swimsuit)! :lmao: the Dollar General has their summer selections on sale! I need two more will probably go Friday; Danny has to take a cerfication class Friday 2-10pm so he won't be home till midnight! He is going to take off Monday since he lost his Friday (he only wks a 4 day wk)! and I do not have Chloe Monday so maybe just maybe is the weather is nice I can talk him into something:confused3

I know what I'm getting the three girls for Christmas this year; just need to order them. I had given them Fisher Price snap on dolls for their 2nd bday and two of the moms can't find any in the stores so I'm going to order them the disney ones I seen on the shopping site:thumbsup2 and they are getting beannie babies along with it (my mom used to own a flower shop and in the height of the maddness she put away one of each for Gwendolyn & Dayne for future money--she should have sold them and put the money in a savings account--because they are worthless today!!!) great gifts though!

Have no clue what I'm getting Ashton:confused3 I wanted a train table but with Gwendolyn living here I have no room for it! I'm thinking disney DVD's and the rest of the Dr. Suess books. and maybe something else to go with his Diego treehouse:confused3

Gwendolyn wants clothes, Joe will probably get the same or something for the house, Dayne wants money but he is getting clothes and I'm thinking a camera for both of them!:confused3

Danny's mom wants 6' windchimes so I think I'm getting that for my parents also. and our nieces and nephew will be getting money!

That's my list!!! just need to get it started! I use to be finshed by the end of Sept now I cut it close everyyear:rolleyes1

I have to get off of here and go do some house work!!! I keep saying it and I am not moving (only my fingers):rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:
:wave2:

Mitchell wants every single thing he sees on TV. He especially wants those Pixos things that you have to order off the TV. He's been asking two years in a row. I guess I'll break down and get it. Especially since he hasn't stopped asking! ;) He also wants a Hot Wheels Track. He about had a cow the other day when a commercial came on for it.

I hate tracks, though. They never stay together and then the pieces always end up all over the house! Anything for my baby, tho.

I remember the days of having to find the one gift the kids always asked for. I know Andrew gets a computer. We generally give the adults money. Who knows what Alex wants. We got him a laptop last year. Aust says he doesn't really want anything. I'm sure he'll change his mind when the time comes. We only exchange with Gary & Sharon and Tom. We get Don's folks something and my mom. My mom always gives us money and the kids walmart cards. We have all told her to stop. Since my anniversary is 2 days before Christmas Don and I get one thing. Altho last year he got me 2 things. I never know what to get him.

I really miss the little kids and the fun. Sometimes we go away for Christmas since Andrea won't come over. It really makes it easier for us. I have a little 2ft decorated tree and the works. One year when Sandi and Tim lived in Minnesota we met at Harrahs in Council Bluffs, IA for 4 days. Kept switching hotels cause I had free rooms for all of us. It was such fun. Had the kids presents under that little tree. Had buffet at a casino and went to the movies. Who know what will happen this year. Sandi is having all of Tim's family at her house. EEK

Well, at least I made it before the day was over. I went out after running today to try to find the stickers I need for Christian's book...didn't find them. They're now coming in the mail, but might not get here in time (I actually ordered one last week but was going to buy it today if I found it). Christian won't know the difference.

I'm glad you had a good dinner with Austin. I'd love some RL right now!

I can't believe you guys are talking about Christmas! I mean, I'm usually planning already, but I'm trying to wait until we get BACK this year. ;) I know of a couple of things the boys are getting (Wii and DS games), but that's about it. My mom is getting them a Pokemon Wii game and I'm getting them each a Star Wars DS game (they want the Star Wars Wii games, but both of the Clone Wars Wii games are rated T for Teen while the same games for DS are rated 10+. I don't know why it's like that, but I won't buy them T rated games and they know it, so they'll have to deal with the DS games). There's a new Pokemon DS game coming out in October. One or both of them might get that too. Otherwise, I'm clueless. They both started playing with their Legos the other day when they got in trouble and I took away the videogames and they really liked it. But they have unopened Lego sets now, so they'd have to play with them a lot more for me to think of buying any.

I'm thinking about getting Christian a real camera. Like a $100 one, but a real one as opposed to one for kids. He LOVES taking pictures with my point and shoot and he's really pretty good. Will doesn't care much about taking pictures, so I'm still clueless for him. I'd love to get him the bat he really wants (that all his friends have), but it's about $180 and he uses his friends' bats anyway, so why should I spend the money too? Plus we really can't afford a $180 bat.

Matt wants a GPS, so I'll probably get him that. I already got my mom a breast cancer awareness necklace and I'll also get her something that has the Gators on it. My dad wants some software, so he'll probably get that.

My brother and SIL will get gift certificates. Not sure what we'll get my nephew. It's his first Christmas. Some toy that will be fun to pick out.

My MIL will probably get a snowglobe. Maybe some frames pictures. I already got my niece an outfit at Justice. I'm not sure about my two nephews that are Matt's sisters' boys. Matt's brothers kids I probably won't get anything because I never see them (Jakob just turned 9 and I haven't seen him since he was 5 or 6-his sister, Arianna will be 6 in November. I haven't seen her since she was 15 months old) and I don't know their address. My MIL could send it, but I'm not sure what I'd get them. Matt's brother just had another baby on Christian's birthday. We'll probably get him something little. I don't even remember his name. Isn't that sad?

As for me, I can't think of much. I really, really want a laptop, but I don't think anyone can afford it (anyone meaning Matt or my parents). I'm going to ask for some running clothes and maybe new tennis shoes because I'll probably need them by December. Maybe a movie or two or books and definitely an Archiver's (scrapbook store) GC, although no one ever remembers to get it. I just can't really think of anything I want. I'm sure I'll come up with something.

What do YOU guys want for Christmas?

I remembered yesterday (when Ashton decided to use the computer) Ashton is getting a laptop of his own (yes, a toy one)!

Danny & I usually don't exchange gifts; last year we bought a new mattress for our bed. The year before he surprised me with a camera (I had planned on buying one after Christmas as our gift)! great thought but not anything that I would have spent $400 on!

This year I think we decided passports and painting the car.

All I want for Christmas every year is a fun family filled holiday with out all the stress that comes with it having to hear my parents gripe about the way time has to be split between them, Danny's fly, and now Gwendolyn & Joe's split with his family.
Thanksgiving and Christmas just gets to be too stressful for me; has been that way since I got married. Christmas use to be my favorite holiday now I just try to survive it! :confused3

But, I do love the time we spend with family!!! and I just hate exchanging gifts at Danny's parents house she has always showed favortism somewhere and it never changes! Last year we went in with his sister on his mom's gift; and as we are exchanging gifts SIL pulls out another gift from MIL  So, that will not be happening again; Christmas is not a contest it is to be enjoyed! Than we go to my mom's and she wants to know what MIL gave the kids (it is a CONTEST  )! Every year I tell Danny let's go away for Christmas; I tried to go to Disney last year :confused3 -- a cruise would be nice, too!

Whoa! what a ramble!!!
Ya'll have a great day!
going take care of two little tots...:wave2:

DH and I don't exchange gifts, either. Usually we just get something we can BOTH enjoy. Sometimes we exchange, but not often.

I know what you mean, Connie, about the holidays being stressful. My MIL usually makes them stressful for me. She wants to have it at her house all of the time, but whenever I want to do it at mine, the answer is NO. My house is the largest of all the houses and we have the most space to eat and spread out so that no one has to sit on the couch with their plate. Plus we have two living rooms so no one has to sit on the floor. I guess I'm being silly, but every once in awhile, I like to entertain, too. I don't know why she feels threatened if I want to do something.

One Thanksgiving, I cooked an ENORMOUS meal, everything homemade and from scratch, and DH's family came over. THey raved over the chicken dressing MIL made and didn't say a word about the ham, homemade mac & cheese, squash casserole, yeast rolls, sweet potato casserole, banana pudding, etc. etc. I'm telling you, I worked myself to death for these people and NOTHING. When they got ready to leave, the only thing they wanted to take was: you guessed it - MIL's chicken dressing.

I had so much food left over that eventually had to be thrown out. I was heart broken. DH doesn't really go out of his way to make me feel better when they are around. he just thinks I need to get over it and quit trying so hard. He just kind of starts acting like them. He's gotten better over the years, but he just can't help himself.

Whew! Sorry, didn't mean to go through all of that. The point I was trying to make was that the holidays are stressful for me too!

Hi ladies! Sorry I haven't written in a few days. Been kind of busy/preoccupied. Friday was my Drs. appt. Everything went well. Nothing exciting though. Heard the baby's heartbeat again. Set up my next appt. At my next appt I will be setting up an appt to get my diabetes test done. Oh, and I finally gained some weight! A wopping 4 lbs! LOL! I have been the same weight since before I was pregnant & was wondering why I wasn't gaining!! I look like I did! LOL! But the Dr wasn't worried though. :confused3He said I might not even gain much till the end. We'll see. My mom said she didn't gain much weight when she was pregnant all 4 times! I think she said the most she ever gained was maybe 16 lbs! However, she is/was a lot smaller than me! LOL! Anyway. The weekend was kind of boring. DH had to work all weekend & was on call, so we couldn't really leave the town. Monday we had a BBQ & had a bunch of family over. It was fun! Tuesday we went to register!!! We registered at Baby Depot, in Burlington Coat Factory and Babies R Us! It was both fun & exhausting! LOL! DH was going a bit crazy & putting obsurd things on the registry! So of course when I got home I had some editing to do! LOL! He did the same thing when we registered for our bridal shower! He's weird! Wednesday we went out to the Mall, Old Navy, Target, and Toys R Us. DH had to get some new clothes. He has umm gained some (a lot) of weight over the past year & is in desperate need of clothes that fit! (Don't even get me started on that issue!) We also had to buy a birthday present for our niece who turns 3 today. She is DH's twin brother's daughter & DH absolutely loves her like she's his own! It's so cute! He loves kids & is so good with them! (Thank goodness! LOL!) So he picked out the toys & I picked out the clothes! That was the deal! (His taste in clothes isn't too good! :scared1: ) So he picked out an ironing board with iron and this other cleaning kit thing! LOL! It's so cute! I know she'll love it! I picked out a pair of jeans & two shirts. Let me tell you how this little girl does not look like a 3 yr old! She is so tall! She looks like she is 5. Even when she talks she doesn't sound like a 3 yr old! It's funny! So, her shirts are a size 4T and her jeans a 5T! Crazy! Anyway. Her big birthday party is tomorrow night. However, today, on her real birthday, her mom & dad decided to take her to Chuckie Cheese! Of course, the favorite Uncle & I were invited! LOL! So off to Chuckie Cheese we are tonight! Love their pizza! So, DH wants to give her one of her presents tonight since it's her real birthday. LOL! Anyway. That is what has been going on over here. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Danielle

Hey, D! Isn't that so exciting to hear your baby's heartbeat? I never got tired of that the entire time I was pregnant. It was such a blessing listening to each little beat of that tiny little heart. Oh, I want to go back!!!

I cannot believe that you have not gained much weight. How lucky! I'd gained nearly twenty pounds by six months. The dr. told me she was gonna put me on a diet if I didn't quit. I couldn't help it! By the end, I totaled about thirty five pounds or so. Not too bad, I don't think.

Have fun at the birthday party. Wow, your niece IS tall for a three year old! Sounds like a whole lotta fun is in store tonite.
