Rain, Surprise Birthdays, Rain, First Visits -(Ginny is deceased-Prayers for her.)

Danny's bonus is already accounted for
1/5 the condo in FWB, 1/5 a new paint job on the mustang, 1/5 Christmas (as we do every year--unless I buy Christmas a little a time like I did in the past.) the other 2/5's we do what ever we want at the time (maybe a weekend to biloxi) just helps to feel like we have a little of a life **although I will probably pay off the rooms at WDW and let Danny grip:laughing:

and that is if he gets the same thing he has received for the last four years!!! :upsidedow
maybe the will have a better than normal year and he'll get a little more
a girl can hope & dream (been doing this a lot lately)

Hey girls. :) I just have a couple minutes before I have to get Christian, but I thought I should say hi. I don't seem to get here often enough.

As far as bonuses are concerned, we don't get one at all. Matt doesn't get one (he used to get quarterly bonuses with Purafilter, but the hospital doesn't give any kind of bonus-I think they get a Honeybaked Ham GC for $25). I miss them because he got them with both Pepsi and Purafilter, but not now. And of course I'll never get a bonus as a teacher, even when I do finally get a job. Oh well. :confused3

I think an Alaskan Cruise sounds like a great idea Ginny! :thumbsup2 I'd like to go to Alaska someday. Matt was born there, but doesn't really remember it. I think he was 2.5-3 when they moved to Nebraska (we're both military brats).

Mel, I haven't read about the birthday, but I'll go check it out in a few. Space sounds fun, though.

Connie, I hope Ashton is feeling better. Christian was sick over the weekend, but seems fine now except for a runny nose. Something seems to be going around. My friend's 4 year old had a temperature on Thursday but was fine Friday except for the runny nose. I guess it could be worse.

Hope you guys have a quick rest-of-the-workday!

Don wants Alaska really bad. Not me but I will suck up for him. Then he can pay me back with the Panama Canal or Hawaii. I'm such the good wife. I don't like to go to places that are cold. Give me a beach.

I think the space BD sounds great Mel. You can really have fun with it. Google space bd's and see what ideas are out there.

Sheri took her bonus in a lump sum this past year insted of quarterly so she had a huge one but with one so big taxes did her in. She is going to do quarterly this year. Mike always does quarterly. They come just in time for property tax and income tax. How lucky for them.

Don and I spent a week in Biloxi one year. It was the end of April and so cold. I sat on the beach wrapped in a blanket from the Hotel room. Refusing to get out of the wind. By Golly. I was at the beach. We then went to Gulf Shores in July. Wasn't cold then. I sit out all day and watch the kids have such fun. Even Don likes it anymore. He didn't use to. My dream vacay doesn't matter where we go just let me see the ocean first.

I am sure I'll have a place to spend it several times over for sure. I really want to take Don to Alaska on a cruise next year. So I might use it to book that. I have enought points on my credit card for the cruise. I have to do air and stuff. They are not cheap.

Oh, I hope you get to do that! A woman I work with has in-laws who have a cabin up there and they own a lot of property near Ketchakan. It's not for me, though! Mel doesn't like to be cold!!!

I bet on an Alaskan cruise you get to see some amazing animals and sea-life. I think I could handle a cruise, for sure! :thumbsup2

There for awhile, DH was getting a ham, too! No money, just a ham. Yeah, it was nice b/c it saved us from having to buy one, but I like the money better!

I'm glad that Christian is feeling better. Poor Baby! There is definitely something going around. A lady I work with was out last week with her little boy. Same symptoms. Keep your fingers crossed that Mitchell doesn't catch anything, especially right here before our trip. I think I just jinxed myself! :scared1:

Definitely let me know your ideas on the space birthday party. I am running few on imagination for this one!

Connie, that is all I do is DREAM! Sometimes dreams come true, right? pixiedust:

I am sure I could do a cruise. I would have to pay extra to have a balcony tho. We did that for our 4th anniv. and did the Mexican Riviera. It was cool to see the whales and have coffee every morning out there. I don't care for cold at all but I can do it for that dear Don. His sis goes up there for a month every summer to fish. No fishing for me.

A drug rep just brought me a skinny vanilla latte. I love her. Well I do love the latte's for sure. I was hot when I got here but on the cold side now. Christine had brought me an ice tea for lunch but I'm too cold to drink it. That latte will warm me right up.

Girls you know my life is full of dreams. That is what can make the real world bearable sometimes.

Aust called me this morning before he went to school to ask us to come to the football jamboree Friday night. Now it is six schools on a football field playing the width instead of the length all at one time. You have to pick out your kid. Of course, Aust we would love to go and thank you for inviting us. You would all have done the exact same thing. Next Friday is the first game in Rolla. A 2 hour drive from here. Yes, we will go.

Andrew has soccer Tuesday and Thursday night, Aust Friday nights. It will be a busy fall. I ordered a sign for my yard that has a Willard helmet with Austin Smith his #52 and graduating year 2010. I'll take a pic when it comes in. He says my house will now get egged. I said I didn't care as long as it is not him doing it.

You are a WONDERFUL wife and grandmother! Goodness, I hope your house doesn't get egged! That would be an awful mess to have to clean up. You're very brave!

Ginny,

It looks like you girls still kept up the chit chatter while I was away. ;) That's what Dis friends are for!

I think I may have some sort of fever because we are thinking about doing a cruise next year. I checked out some prices this morning. We could do a 7 day Caribbean cruise leaving from New Orleans with stops in Belize and two other places that I can't remember right now. The cost for the three of us would be just over $2,300.00 but I'd have to pay extra for the day excursions. We have always wanted to go to Belize and a cruise seems like a good way to get there. The only problem is there are 3 days of nothing but "fun at sea". I don't know if we could handle that. I gotta be doing something and I don't know if I'd like the "fun" they offer on the ship.

Who knows?!? The fever will probably subside and we'll head back to Disney again. I've already priced out next year's vacation on the Disney site. It's only $300.00 more than this year and that's without any kind of promos or special offers.

I would so make Aust and friends clean.

We did chat. Nothing can stop us. We missed you. We love cruises. Belze is awesome. We did a little ruin there. Don had a great time. I don't climb. Heights you know but I got his pic at the top. I love the days at sea. The pool is great to sit. Carnival has the pool slide Ashton would love. And all the ships have kid programs he would like. All of my grands have done it. Alex was 5 his first cruise. That became my boat you know. Hey grandma when can we go on your boat again? We did the NCL Dream out of NO, the Carnival Sensation, Conquest and Inspiration. I love to go out of NO because I love the city. We always stay extra days so I can see everything. I always prebuy the excursions so I have no surprises at the end. We don't mind inside rooms because we are not in the room enough to care. My kids have to have outside rooms. They need the sunlight. We had an inside room on the Dream and the air didn't work so they had to send us to an outside. It was great. The sofa and chair were next to the window and you could close the curtain between the sitting area and the bed.

I will look for pics and keep you in cruise mode.

I was trying to figure out if we'd have enough fun on those "fun day at sea" days to make a cruise worth our while, also! I'm an on the go kind of vacationer, whereas DH likes to chill, so I imagine a cruise would be right up his alley.

I know that whatever you guys decide to do next year will be fun b/c you guys REALLY know how to have a good time!!!! :thumbsup2

I am in complete agreement. Fun is what you make of it. I like to go and Don likes to chill. I admit after you do the excursions while you are on land it really is nice to chill just a little. We did figure out that is why Don would get sick. You are so on the go that you wear yourself down a little. I'm sure it wasn't the food or the drink. :rotfl2:

Not with Don for sure. What ever. In Jan 08 I came home and had lost 3 pounds on the cruise. This was before the Thyroid deal. By the Nov cruise I came home and gained 5 pounds. I have not been the same since. I think I have gained 20 of the 50 I had lost. I am hoping the Dr. will find a magic pill for me when I go on Thursday. What do you think my chances are? I know slim and none. He will tell me weight watchers is my answer as I watch the stupid banner at the top of this.

I'm the kinda gal that checks in the resort, drops her bags and starts exploring. I find it really really hard to just sit and relax. John, on the other hand, would be happy just finding a beach chair and snoozing.

I know we'd have fun on the day exercusions but I just don't know about the "fun days at sea".

Speaking of gaining weight while on vacation.....John gained 8 pounds, I gained 5 pounds, Hunter gained 4 pounds and I don't know about Lacey 'cause she was back on the road to Georgia when we all weighed ourselves.

Disney was good to you then. I'm so glad that the food was not lacking. hee hee.

I think I gained because of 1. The drink of the day. I tried them all and 2. Our beach day. We all tried to see how many shots we could handle. or 3. the desserts at night followed by ayce ice cream cones and pizza. I didn't do pizza so much the the ice cream stand was right above my room. It called my name. And that dear sweet Andrew learned how to carry 10 at a time in his little paws.

I can lose five pounds and gain it all right back by LITERALLY eating a snack cake or something. IT STINKS!!!!

the cruise ships are so big and have so much to do that it can either be a go go go go situation OR sit by the pool or on one of the inside promanades and chill and relax. that is the great thing about a cruise...it can accomadate anyone's style of vacay...

as for wt gain; I can't seem to lose weight EXCEPT when I'm pregnant. Yes, you read that right...the only time I lost weight was when Danny & I were really fighting on the verge of splitsville in 1999 and each time I became pregnant. With Ashton I weighed 160 #'s when I got PG (the biggest I had every been) , when I gave birth i weighed 160#'s, two weeks later I weighted 148#'s and month after that I weighed 138#'s. I am back up to where I started!!! I really need to do something about it!!! I think just exercise would help but I'm too lazy:laughing:

Oh! well!!!

Ginny, what a jamboree over here they do them four schools a night and only 2 quarters!
when we were in HS they would play two full games starting at 5; we would have a half day of school to rally and be at the stadium early:cheer:

Have a great evening!!! Need to figure out if it is leftovers or if I'm preparing something...

Are you telling us that Ashton needs a baby bro or sis? Just curious.

I would not mind at this point in the game. But, unless Danny's doc did something wrong two yrs ago it is not meant to be:laughing:

No, I NEED TO GET OFF MY BUTT AND OFF THE COMPUTER AND MOVE MORE!!!
maybe now that Ashton and I have more time alone we can go off and get out of the house just walking on the lakefront or mall. that alone should help!

That would work too but I could use a little girl A please. We used to walk to Sheri's every night and back. We need to get on that program again. But boy does it need to cool down first. I kept telling Sheri after she and Mike married I needed another but Mike said NO really loud. Big baby.
