Rain, Surprise Birthdays, Rain, First Visits -(Ginny is deceased-Prayers for her.)

As previously mentioned I won tickets to the Springfield Cardinal Baseball game at my Relay for Life in June. Last night was the evening we chose to go to the game. The suite was totally awesome and I had preordered food from the service. We had hotdogs, nachos, chicken wings, popcorn, cookies, soda and beer. It was a beautiful evening to be at the game. I have attached some pictured I took with my cell phone. Sorry they are not better. The Cardinals lost in the bottom of the 12th inning 12-10. It was loads of fun. We didn't get home till 11:30 p.m.

This is Christine and her husband Lynn. Christine works as the secretary at the Dr. office.

Back row Lynn, Mike, Sheri Front row: Andrew, Josh, Brock and Austin. Brock and Josh are friends of Austins.

Also attending were my brothers Tom and Gary, sis in law Sharon and my friend Cindy's boys Matt and Brad.

There was plenty of food and it was a beautiful evening out.

Don normally goes to be at 9:00 pm so midnite was way late for him. He left this morning at 6:30 to go to his mom's and do some work on the ramp so they will be able to get her home when she is ready to leave the nursing home.

Brother Tom is spending the night with us so I have gotten absolutely nothing done today. Tomorrow afternoon I will get back to the TR.

You're up late tonight...the suite looks like it was lots of fun/that's a really late night...
are you on a sugar high like me--LOL!!

Hi Connie,

I slept till 10 this morning so I'm slow to wind down tonite. Looks like it was a fun day at your house. Wish I had a piece of cake. I did make it to Andy's Frozen Custard tonight. When a homerun is hit in the 5th inning they give you a sundae for $1.00 the following day. I bought dessert for everyone tonite. I'm the big spender. Best frozen custard in the world. I really do want to work on the TR tomorrow at some point. You get rest. You have a busy day ahead of you I'm sure.
Ginny

Ginny, I'm just subbing, but I'll be back to read later tonight.

I just took a 2 hour nap, so I know I'll be up for a while now. ;)

When I last left you we had finished our Birthday day at Epcot with thanks to Mike. If you will remember we had ridden the bus to Epcot from the Poly since the Monorail was down. We took the Monorail back to Poly to get our cars but before we leaving we decided to get a few more of our favorite pictures.

Then we got our photopass for the birthday.

We start Wednesday May 27, 2009 with another day at Epcot. The plan is to hit Soarin, TT, the Coke pavilion and World Showcase.

Now get ready for this update. It is raining. Not just a sprinkle not really pouring but coming down in buckets. We are from Missouri and you have to "show us". It has only taken us to day 4 but lo and behold we buy ponchos. Yep, 9 of em at $6.99 each. They saved our day and the days after. I think we finally just decided we were tired of being wet all the time.

Since it was raining so hard TT was out and we would try and catch it later.
We head over to Soarin for a quick trip and amazingly got right on. Must be because of the rain. Epcot was not super busy just yet. Suited us just fine. We next get to the Coke Pavilion. Except for Sheri and Andrew. They needed a pit stop. Now I am not normally a mean person but I knew about the "Beverly" and never said a word to anyone. But, oh my. I got em good. :lmao: First we have Sandi.

Then Austin. I often wonder how people but their eyes back like that.:rotfl:
P5270172.jpg

Then Mike.
P5270167.jpg

and my favorite, Tim.
P5270168.jpg

Alex wouldn't even try it after he saw everyone else's faces. Don doesn't drink soda at all so no getting him. When Sheri and Andrew came in everyone tried to get them to try and they figured out something was up and wouldn't even try.

Please note our nice new ponchos of which Mike has already torn the neck out of.

We next head to my favorite of all places. World Showcase.

Continued on next post.

We did not go to Epcot except one evening for EMH so "Beverly" was not available...I will have to remember that and get the crew good next year. LOL!!! Great job catching the reactions!!

As I left off we were ready to enter WS. The last time I was at Epcot it had just opened and there were 5 countries. Alex had decided to do a Kim Possible Mission so as he was signing in for that Sandi and Austin decided they would get pictures of the two of them in each country. Now before we begin let me warn all you young children, there may be some pictures that are not "G" rated. "PG" maybe, no "R" or "X". Lets begin in Mexico.

I got a picture of Mike and his Boys.
P5270176.jpg

We then got Alex and Sheri.
P5270182.jpg

And now Sandi and Austin. Tim was allowed to join in on the first picture.
P5270183.jpg

We enjoyed Mexico. We have been often and am amazed how realistic it is.

We next get to Norway. Alex is busy with KP and we are in line for Maelstrom for about 45 minutes.
P5270184.jpg

After the ride and you are in the gift shop we must check out the hat situation.

P5270189.jpg

And let's not forget the Birthday boy and girl.
P5270190.jpg

Sheri informed me I had ridden Maelstrom before but for the life of me I couldn't remember. I must have been very young.:confused3

China comes up next.

P5270193.jpg

We shop inside. Austin gets chopsticks. (This is to eat his ramen noodles):lmao: Alex got candy and Andrew got some kind of food. I'm not sure what it was.

We saw Mulan and I made everyone get a picture.

We girls had ours done too but we weren't nearly as cute as the boys.

Here is some more entertainment from China.
Austin was going to learn how to do these sticks. He finally managed 3 turns before dropping.

I absolutely love these. I would like to see it in person some day.

Alex was still doing a KP mission so he was keeping himself quite busy and we saw our day slipping away. Did you notice NO ponchos. The rain had subsided and it was hot!!!!

Germany is the next country. Now my heritage is swiss and german so I thouroughly enjoy this country.

I spent a lot of time there and we managed to get a cold beer and brat. I have no idea why we have no pictures. I was too busy looking so I shall blame the rest of the family for no pictures.

I will continue Epcot in another post.

I love the Rasta Mickey hat picture...SO CUTE!

I am still here following along! Just quietly reading along.

Your family is just adorable...down to the last person.

I also love the Mulan pictures. So cute. Post the ones of you girls too!:thumbsup2

I am glad to see you are still reading. Also glad to have Goofy's report started.

OMG! I just LOVE the Beverly pics. Too funny!

And the "Just Engaged" photo with Mulan cracked me up! :rotfl:

Loved the update. Keep em coming!

Ginny: Great minds think alike because your favorite pics are my favorites too! I know that your pocketbook was crying after buying 9 ponchos at $7.00 each. We recycle our's and bring them back year after year. We have had them last up to three years before we had to throw them out.

How lucky were you to get on Soarin' with little wait!

I've had my ponchos since 2006, and returned to WDW in 2008 and again this year, and only had to use them that once in 2006. I still carry them with me, though!

What was worse was that Sheri brought hers back from 5 years ago and they were at the resort. So now she has an over abundance. Well not so many since Mike tore his up.:rotfl2:

John always tears the neck of his poncho when he gets a new one. Said he doesn't like them too tight.

That is how Mike is. He has a big neck anyway. The best part when we were packing to leave I was just throwing ponchos in bags and Sandi ended up with it. I have all the rest in my storage travel bag that I keep such things in so I told her when she came for Labor Day she could get a different one. We will hope that makes her happy.:)
