Do you buy them and if so, where from?

We usually get them for water rides but the cheap ones from Asda etc are usually good just for one day. Is it worth getting some more expensive ones? I saw some in Primark and Ikea (around £7 each). I was also thinking about the downpours likely in August.

I take a very thin but totally waterproof jacket that packs away into a tiny bag (I already had the bag, it didn't come with it). It wasn't cheap (£35 and that was half price..) but it's absolutely brilliant - the best thing I have ever purchased for travel.

This year I bought the pack-a-parkas from Primark, one for myself and one for my daughter. They worked out much better than the ponchos or rain jackets that we have used on previous trips. They were lightweight for in bag, dried really quickly, folded up easily and were not hot to wear. We have even worn them since coming home. They were also great for wet rides to offer some protection.

I've kept my yellow one which i purchased for PortAventura and I just keep that one with me. I also have a jack a pack but it doesn't cover my legs but the poncho will.

We bought the Disney ones about 6 years ago and sto use them. I bought cheap ones the first year and they ripped. The Disney ponchos have more than paid themselves off. Almost a the stores sell them at the parks and resorts. Just ask at the register.

We gave up on them apart from a lightweight cheapy poncho for DD we just brave the rain showers now, its part of the fun in August :boat:

They are very good quality poncho's however just remember that when it rains all of a sudden the walk ways just turn into a sea of people wearing the same thing so you can easily loose people.

But if you buy one in advance you'll stand out from the crowd and can find each other. :)

Just ordered some from Mountain Warehouse for £5.99 each - 50% off in the sale :)

We bought the Disney ponchos this year but a couple ripped really easily. Luckily, Disney were happy to replace them :goodvibes

Primark Mickey Mouse head waterproofs are what we and DD had this year. They fold up pretty small and do a MUCH better job than the cheap or decent Disney ponchos. Bonus is they are much less sweaty.
