We are considering eating at the RFC in July/Aug if its available on DDP. Somewhere I would never pay OOP for.
Anyone eaten at both locations? is one better than the other?
Thank you.

You're in luck. Both locations are on the DDP in 2012 for the first time. I've eaten in both; they are pretty similar in all respects. The location at DTD has a complete chaotic feeling about it; which is fun especially at night.
The location at AK has the convenience factor, it's novel to exit AK through the restaurant. With AK closing early it's nice to catch a Dinner there, especially as AK has relatively limited options for food than other locations.
In terms of food apples in apples. The menu is identical, hearty American food. Good grub but not winning any awards.
Maybe AK location would be better then, Chaotic does not sound fun to me.
Ate at T-Rex last year, that was chaotic, not enjoyable to me, the place was heaving, 30 min wait for a table, they then seated us at a table for a man to come over and say we were sat at his table, went back to desk, they would not believe they had made a mistake, eventually got another table food turned up cold and had to be sent back. It was a shambles. Now on DDP I am willing to give it a 2nd chance but I would never pay menu prices at these places.
I prefer quiet, sedate restaurants but want to try different places for our 4 year old God Daughter.
I've eaten at both and prefer the AK one. I'm quite a Rain Forest fan and always eat at the London one when I'm up in town but out of the two at WDW, I'd agree that the AK one is definitely less chaotic!
I'm not a great lover of the RFC atmosphere but have eaten at DTD twice. Both times we sat on the verandah (first time because we could be seated quicker - 2nd time we asked for the location) and had a fairly relaxed meal with a lovely view of the boats coming and going from PO.
Although it was August the ceiling fans kept us quite comfortable.
We've eaten at both and to completely honest I cant remember one being noticeably better/worse than the other.
We've also eaten at the DLRP one many times, and the London one once
Of the four I think both the WDW ones were better. We used to love the Paris one, but over the years it has shrunk considerably and in doing so lost most of its atmosphere. The london one was just empty and had no atmosphere at all!
Still love the brand enough to want to visit a few more around the world though!
