The weather forcast has changed for my week. :( It went from all sunny to thunderstorms everyday. Can anybody reassure me that we'll have some sunshine?:sunny: :sunny: I'm really bumming right now.

From my experiences in the south and in FL, weather predicitons often end up being wrong, especially that far ahead. I wouldnt worry to much about it. The forecast will probably change a few more times again before your trip. And if you do get rain, a lot of times its a brief storm/shower that cools things off briefly, then is followed by sun and high humidity. Of course there is always the possibility of a wash out day or two, but some say the best time to do MK is during a rainy day since everyone else is undercover.

We will be there too rain or shine. Things can change a lot before then so don't get bummed.:D

I don't trust long range forecasts either. Heck, they are often wrong with the forecast for today! I assume there'll be some rain, but we'll have a great time anyways.

We went two years ago and it rained on us and we loved it! Man, it was sooo hot that the rain was wonderful.

Of course it wasn't a severe t-storm, just an afternoon shower, but my DS and I really enjoyed it!:D

June starts our rainy season down here. During rainy season, we usually see rain once to twice a day. So there is good chance you might run into some showers. As a previouse poster said, it will rain and then clear and have bright sunny skies.

Sometimes it will rain so hard, you think it will never clear up and then a suddenly as it starts it is over. Just bring some raingear with you and you will be alright.

The parks are great when it rains, as most people run for cover .:sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

This is our first time in June. We usually go Thanksgiving or 3rd week of December. Of course we've been very lucky for the past 11 years with wonderful weather. We went down this past December and it was cold the whole time. Oh well. I can take heat and rain better than cold! Thanks guys! Maybe we'll run into each other. Got those green ribbons!

You should have sunny, clear skies for most of your trip. According to the Weather Channel there should be no rain till the end of next week. So there is the chance of rain from the 4th or 5th on. This could change, you know how weather is. But right now the weather is great down here. A little on the warm side though. Your gonna have a great trip. Don't sweat it! hehehe!

Every day in the summer has the same forecast in Florida that except for the hurricanes, don't even know why we have weathermen. The forecast is generally partly cloudy with afternoon to evening thundershowers. Highs in the mid to low 90's. Unless there is a hurricane a brewing close, usually the thunderstorms are very short and come between 1-4pm every day. So yes, definitely bring raingear, but it's doubtful it will ruin your day. Just hang tight...As was said above, they look terribly gruesome with all their lightning, endless dark clouds and massive rain, but they only usually last an hour or so. Also a funny thing about Florida is that it can be raining across the street and be perfectly sunny where you are.

We are in bad need of rain, but I think you should be safe. Of course I have seen it rain on my neighbors house across the street but not on mine. You gotta love that Florida liquid sunshine!

Don't bother watching the weather. I guarantee they can't predict 8 hours in advance, much less 8 days.
Florida is a skinny state with large masses of water on each side. The weather changes constantly and is very unpredictable. Take a poncho to the park with you every day (put in a locker first thing). Yeah, it'll rain. But it'll be hot (sunny), too.

Let me reinforce the fact that the weather guys down here always have trouble. I have been flying over FL and the gulf for about 3 years now, on almost a daily basis. During the summer, you can almost set your watch by what time a storm cell will at least START to build overa certain area - to include the panhandle area, as well as those that we can see from the air in Tampa, etc. We can't quite see ORL from our airspace where we 'work,' but the building is standard pretty much statewide.

Pretty much, if it is Summer, and you are in FL - you should prob have a poncho ready to put on for at least a half hour a day.
::yes::

I love a summer rain, but I never mind being wet. I love the way the air feels right before it rains, and the feel of warm rain drops (they seem warm to me). I also love the way it clears the parks ;)

Yep! You got that right! When I lived in FL you could almost set your watch by the afternoon storms - usually rolling into Orlando around 3:30pm and out by 4:30pm at the latest.

Take ponchos or small umbrellas and do your best! If you see the clouds moving in head for a LONG attraction like American Adventure and enjoy the attraction while the storm passes by.

We'll be right there with you. The good news is that the rain usually thins the crowds out a bit. Stay and enjoy the shorter lines.

Don't worry some of the best times I have had at Disney World have been in the middle of a downpour.

And besides the worst possible day at WDW is still probabaly better than the best day anywhere else.
