Saw the news about the railroad being parked on Main Street while they work on the Tron coaster, but no end date was listed. A little bummed because we are taking my grandson for his first trip in March and that was something he would be tall enough for or can ride with adults (he will be 2 1/2; is already 36"). Has anyone seen a press listing with an end date? I hope it's not down until 2021!

I took the Behind The Steam Trains tour back in January and our guide told us that when the time came that the track was no longer usable due to Tron construction, the railroad will be closed for a year.

That doesn't surprise me at all. Given that the concept art shows the train running under the canopy and the proximity to the Tron construction, I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was closed for more than a year. Its a bummer, but I think the end product will be worth it.

In DL they did that when the RR was down for like a year so expect a long closure. Do take the chance to look at the train and any exhibits they put up. It was really cool at DL and it was even neater to talk to the conductors in depth about the trains.

At least at the MK the train isn't as much of a vital transportation option. We always use it at DL when crowds are high and we need to get across the park. I really missed it in 2016 trying to escape the crowds by Small World on a busy evening.
