Raglan Road restaurant reviews anyone?

We're thinking of making an ADR for lunch. Anyone want to share their experience?

We ate there for dinner in Sept 2007 and it was one of the best meals we had. Also, I know you said a lunch time meal, but in the evening there was live entertainment.

We have been twice. We wanted to go for the theme. I dont really remember what we ate but we liked the food. My DD irish dances so we wanted to go see the entertainment, its fun.

We go for dinner most times that we visit. Love the entertainment and the food is pretty good. We have noticed that we always get seated way in the back and don't know if its because we have the dining plan, a kid with us, or it's just random, but we can't see the dancers unless we go up to the bar. Next trip we're just going to go for drinks and sit at the bar, maybe order apps.

We (Me, DD18 & DS12) went during free dining & sat right in front of the stage & dancers platform, so I am sure it is random. We had an awesome time! The food was great & so was the service (our server was Tony). I had the Its Not Bleedin' Chowder, which was excellent. My DS had the short ribs & my DD hs the Guiness Stew which they both enjoyed. It was our favorite meal of the trip I highly recommend RR & plan on visiting every trip

My DD (12) and I have eaten lunch there the last 2 trips. No entertainment at lunch, but great food and service. Also. no problems getting a table! Be sure to save room for the bread and butter pudding. It is the best thing ever. It is huge so be sure to split it!

I haven't been there for lunch but the dinner was great! Mom and I had the sirlion steak and dh had the chowder. The bread pudding was AWESOME!!!!!! It is worth the trip for the bread pudding. We are debating on going back this trip. I didn't want to go to DTD, but we really like this place!

Is it ok to just go to the bar and have drinks and watch the entertainment? Maybe order snacks with the drinks? What time does the entertainment start and is it every night?

It would be fine to sit at the bar -- you should have a good view of the entertainment, most of which takes place on a raised platform in the middle of the dining room. I believe the music starts at 9 p.m. most nights.

You have to just ask to be seated in the main room. Last May we went with 3 kids and the deluxe dining plan. Our ADR was 8:45. When we arrived (at 8:45) they had a table in the back ready. I told her that we would wait for a table in the main room. She warned it may be 30 minutes. We said "No problem." DH got us beers form the bar and we shopped in the store. We got seated in the main room with an incredible view of the entertainment at 9:20. We had great service and the food was fantastic. It was one of favorite dining experiences of not just this Disney trip, but all of them!

YES! YES! YES!

We were there last month (for dinner) and it was the BEST meal out of our whole 11 days (and it was a last minute decision to go there). Loved it Loved it.

Thanks everyone for chiming in! I admit the big draw is the bread pudding. LOL! It's nice to know 'Ohana's doesn't have the entire market on breading pudding! I'd love to be able to do the nighttime entertainment but there's only so much we can squeeze in on our too-short trip but thought we'd at least be able to do lunch there on our DTD day.

OMG The bread pudding is AMAZING. Seriously I would go back again just for that. I also loved the salad with goat cheese but everything was a bit pricey. Mom and I got salads, desserts (1 each of course) and a drink (alcoholic) and it was like $70!

Another for RR! We just went a few weeks ago and loved everything we had. We shared the Calamari appetizer and I had the It's Not Bleedin' Chowder. It was one of the best entrees I had all week. DH had the mussels and loved them. Of course the Bread Pudding is amazing and HUGE!

We had lunch at Raglan Road in 2007. It was in mid-August when the parks were crowded and we didn't have an ADR. We were sweltering in DTD and made a spur-of-the-moment decision to try and get a ts lunch so we could enjoy sitting in the a/c for a long time. We liked the look of Raglan Road's menu and had no trouble whatsoever being seated at noon right when Raglan Road opened.

There was no entertainment at lunchtime, but the food was pretty good! I think dh and ds had fish & chips. I had an entree salad (pictured below--sorry for the poor lighting in the photo) and dd had a kid's meal (pictured below).

Both the food and service were good and we'd be glad to eat there again someday. If you decide to go, I hope you enjoy it!

Raglan Road is now a serious contender.LOL! So many good restaurants and so little time...

Glad to hear too that ADRs aren't absolutely essential. Sometimes it's nice to have a little spontaneity.

My DBF and I walked in without an ADR on a Tuesday around 1:30pm. We were seated right away and there were only about 8 other tables with customers.

The lunch menu is different from the dinner menu. I ordered the portobello sandwhich. It was smothered with cheese and came with a choice of a side. It was soooooo yummy! I got a cesar salad with it and it was very tasty and fresh!

My DBF got a steak sandwhich and mixed vegetables and he really loved it too. We split a beer flight! Stay away from the Dundon's Delight dessert. It was way too sweet! The bread pudding was also to die for though!

It was one of our favorite meals and we would go back in a heartbeat!

we were there last year for lunch when our trip was unexpectedly made longer by a snow storm. i had some pork chop which was horribly dry. i'm not a hugely picky eater, but i didn't really want to eat it. my boyfriend had the shepherd's pie and said it was fantastic. maybe they were just having an off day. i was actually kind of disappointed, since i had heard very good things about the place.
