Raglan Road Questions

Hello,
What time would someone suggest to eat at Raglan Road? Does it get loud and busy in the later dinner hours. Is there entertainment in the evening?
What are the must try menu items?
Is the restaurant a good place for young children?

It is loud and very busy. They have singing and Irish step dancing. It is a bar with a restaurant. Kids are fine there and even get to go up on stage to learn to step dance. I have been twice, both August trips. First time we went around 6:20 and had a great table where we could see and the food was really good. We went again, this time at 8:30, and had a table in the back corner where we couldn't see the singing and dancing. It took an hour to get our food and it wasn't very good. The server was never around so it took forever to pay and get out of there. If you are going with little kids, maybe go for a 6:00 range dinner and not a late one. It seemed more calm and family friendly when we went at 6:20. Their nom-nom wings are good and my family members really liked the fish and chips. I got the braised be beef both times and it was sooooo good the first time and very dry the second. They have a bread pudding dessert that is really good.

If dining with children, I would also go for an earlier dinner sitting. eg well before 6:30 pm. When you check in at the podium, ask to be seated in the main dining room with the stage. I've had the lamb shank for the entree and the Ger's Bread Pudding for dessert. Both were excellent.

Soda bread and dipping sauce is awesome. We've always had a good meal here. We've been here 4 times and always have it on our must eat list.

Love Raglan Road! The menu is so hard to choose from with many great options.. The Serious Steak I had last time was so good! And the bread pudding for dessert is just amazing!!!!! This year I want to try something different, but I know for an appetizer, we will be ordering the Scallops Forest to share- just delicious!
