Tough decision to make for one of our nights. Girlfriend wants to go to CR pretty bad but we'll be heading to DS that night anyways and I'm reading that RR is pretty awesome. Any thoughts? On the DDP

RR gets much better reviews but honestly I love the CR. It's just not an experience you get anywhere else.

We would like to try RR, but have yet to eat there. As the previous posts says, Coral Reef gets mixed reviews, but we had a really good meal there. I had a very good steak there and loved the Bailey's & Jack Daniels Chocolate Mousse dessert.

I have eaten at both. I much prefer Coral Reef. Our RR meal was "blahh".... ok, but nothing to write home about.

Generally, the way I feel about dining is I eat where I am. If I were in Epcot, I'd eat there. If I were in DTD, I'd eat at RR.

I've also had a good experience at CR, but I did think Raglan Road is better. That food was downright fantastic, and it was a fun atmosphere. To me it's a no-brainer if you're already going to be in Disney Springs anyway.

For just the 2 of you RR is much the better choice.

And I assume it takes the DDP?? I am not sure---

Raglan Road gets my vote. We love it there. It is a beautiful restaurant with warm, friendly servers, delicious food and fun live entertainment. For a young couple I would say go to Raglan Road

Ate at Coral Reef once and have 0 desire to return. Thankfully, we have two Aquarium restaurants locally that provide a comparable experience. We have family who kept giving Coral Reef "another" chance because they liked the setting, but after their most recent visit, they've supposedly written it off for good. On the flipside, Raglan Road seems to be consistent with both good food and fun atmosphere.

I absolutely LOVE RR, whereas CR was less than impressive, service wasn't too great, and the food was okay. This of course was a one time experience.
RR however we would go ALL the time, the food is absolutely AMAZING, bread pudding to die for, and the drinks can't be beat!!

WOW! Finally a question where I've experienced both and can say from experience!

Raglan Road. Coral Reef wasn't as bad for us as others have described it, but Raglan Road was excellent! It's not even close for us.

It does take the dining plan. I actually looked it up because I thought for some reason it was a Signature. It's not- they take 1 credit.

The Bailey's & Jack Daniels mousse mentioned by a PP is really awesome at Coral Reef. But Ger's bread pudding at Raglan Road is phenomenal. I choose both. ;)

Have ate at both many times like them both. But if you're in DS already RR is the best choice. Food at RR is very good dancers are great. Beers are great. Last time there had the venison pie and it was fantastic.

Well see my main thing with our ADR's this vacation was to grab restaurants with the best "Disney Experience" and I feel like RR is pretty close to a few Irish Pubs around my hometown whereas CR is pretty unique. Going off of that factor I'm leaning towards CR, especially since its great VALUE based off of the DDP.

Any thoughts on this?

For convenience if you happen to be at Epcot then CR (although I would go to Tutto Italia or Chefs de France). For food then RR hands down. Amazing choice and wonderful food.

I guess I don't understand the whole statement about value. Both restaurants are one credit on the DDP, and although the pricing at CR seems slightly higher (depending on what you'd get), the prices are similar. I personally would rather have a better meal (which I believe RR is) than simply go to the more expensive place and order the most expensive item on a menu no matter what it is to seemingly get a better value.

As for the "Disney Experience", I do think CR has a nice setting and atmosphere. We were lucky enough to be sitting right next to the tank, but the table next to us was literally less than a foot away- just something to keep in mind when you have a group of two. I personally don't have a good Irish pub near my house, and certainly nothing that features live Irish dancing, so RR was a new experience for us that we wouldn't have gotten elsewhere. I will say, neither restaurant overtly screams "DISNEY!" to me. Places like BOG or character meals, to me, would fit more along those lines.
