Raglan Road-Official Opening Date

I got my All Ears Net newsletter and they've passed on the official opening date of the Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant at Downtown Disney. It is October 21!!! I am hoping to get there on our upcoming trip. I called to try to make ADR's and they are not making reservations yet. The CM I spoke to didn't know anything about the Restaurant, but went looking for the info for me. As she was reading it, she said.."Oh this looks great". Funny! She said there was a press release, but no ADR's yet.

I'm so amazed it's taken so long to get it open! We'll be getting there on the 19th, let's hope it opens while we're there and we can stop in!

Yay!! We'll be arriving Oct. 22--perfect timing. The only problem now is trying to fit it into our schedule. I'd like to try it, so I'll have to work something out. Does anyone know if Disney will release a menu before it officially opens?

Nope, I've never eaten here before. I don't think it's a chain restauarant or anything. I'm just excited to try it based on the reports I've heard from CM's and those in the know. Besides, I love to try new things.

It is not a Disney owned restaurant, so for a menu I would check to see when it is posted on the restaurants website:

This is a copy and paste from the allears announcement:
"October 21, 2005, is the official opening date for Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant at Downtown Disney. The new venue, located on the site of the former Pleasure Island Jazz Company, will offer traditional Irish fare prepared with a "modern flair." Menu items will include: rack of lamb on Irish stew consommé, Sea Leek (oven-baked fillet of sea bass served on a fondue of leeks), and Kevin's Kudos (oven-roasted loin of bacon served with braised cabbage and creamed potato). The restaurant, which will hold 600, is decorated with custom furnishings designed and built in Ireland by Irish craftspeople, as well as with Irish antiques and "bric-a-brac." Pleasure Island club admission will not be required for entrance to Raglan Road."
Our trip is Oct 13-24. Our itinerary was planned several weeks ago with Pleasure Island scheduled for Oct 21! We would love to try Raglan Road but I'm afraid that opening night might be a mad house. Not sure what to do now.

Oh drat! When I saw the original post, I mistook the numer "1" for another exclamation point! I thought it said "opening Oct 2!!!!" I will be leaving WDW on Oct 17 so I guess I won't get to see it this trip.

I sent an email to Raglan Road yesterday to asked if they would be taking reservations for the opening on October 21. I also asked if reservations would be made through WDW DINE or directly through them.

I got a reply this morning and I'll post it the way I received it.

Hi Patty

Our grand opening is the 20th - not the 21st - so we would be happy
to have you dine with us on the 21st

WDW DINE will take reservations once we open!
