We will be in Disney World Sunday, April 18 through Saturday, April 24 and want to eat dinner at Raglan Road. Does anyone know what night they have Irish dancing? My daughter teaches Irish dancing and we would love to see it.

I don't think I'd make a special trip for the dancing, unless they've changed it. When we went last September, the performers were a family band, aged like 12-25 or so. They were very good, but the Irish dancing portion was just a little bit in the middle of the singing/band. Like the band played for about 45 minutes, then took a break. At the end of the break, some of the band members came back & played some lively tunes while a couple of the girls in the band came out and danced for about 5 minutes on a little platform in the middle of the seating area. It was O.K., nothing spectacular: almost like the girls in the band learned the basic Irish step dancing because people expect it or something. The singing/instrumentals was much better than the dancing, IMHO.

I went on a Thursday night in September and there was an Irish dancer there. There was a band playing, but she wasn't part of the band. We were there much later than dinner time though... it was around midnight.

It was enjoyable to watch! She was really good!

There was a time when she wasn't dancing and some drunk people at the table next to us jumped up on the stage/dancing platform thingie and attempted to dance. We found this quite amusing!

The dancer(s) are usually on for a few minutes each hour. Don't expect a full "Riverdance review" at Raglan Road.

There was never a "family band" the original band "Tuskar Rock" were put together with musicians from Ireland and I believe some from the US (I could be wrong about the US part), they were disbanded about a year or so ago and replaced with "Creel". The dancer, Danielle Fitzpatrick, has been dancing at Raglan Road since it opened. She did go to the new Kansas City location for about a year or so. She returned last year when Creel came on board. While she was gone some local Irish dancers were performing at Raglan Road. They also came back on St. Patrick's Day this year.

None of the band members were ever dancers!! :rotfl:

Back in February they had a two man band (very good)that played 7:00 PM to Midnight Mon - Thur and 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM on Friday and Saturday. No music on Sunday. Each night they played about a one hour set - took an hour off - then played until closing. They had one dancer and she would come out once every 30 minutes or so and do one dance. There really isn't a whole lot of dancing - mostly music. When it starts getting real late (after 10:30 PM) the place starts filling up with young European adults (I am guessing they are on the work exchange program at Disney) and the place gets a little rowdy.
We loved it! Try the Deep fried sausages
