My husband and I moved from New Hampshire to Bradenton, Florida last October - about 90 minutes from Disney.
Recently, we bought Silver annual passes which get you into all four parks with certain black-out dates:
The 2 weeks around Easter and Christmas
June and July up to August 9th
No big deal for us since it is crowed around that time and way to hot in the summer.
We are staying for a week in January at the Art of Animation - only $152 a night before any Florida resident discounts. It has paid for itself already.
We decided to go to Downtown Disney or Disney Springs yesterday. We went to Raglan Road for brunch and were very pleased. If you make a reservation, they do not open until 10.
I had an ice water, fresh squeezed OJ and hot tea (I had already had a large cup of coffee before arriving). My husband had iced water and an Irish coffee - which was packed full of booze - Oh well, it is 5 O'Clock somewhere as Jimmy Buffet will remind us.
The waitress brought out a fresh basket or soda bread with Guiness dipping sauce. We both did not care of the soda bread - we thought it was too salty. But, there were other diners enjoying theirs.
My husband ordered pancakes - their were 4 to an order and it came with fresh berries and maple syrup. He said they tasted homemade. He also ordered a side of bacon with his pancakes.
I ordered pork belly hash with potatoes and scallions with 2 eggs on top - sunnyside up and an order of sourdough toast. My eggs were not quite as runny as I liked so my waitress bought me 2 more without even asking. It was delicious but I struggled to find the scallions. It was also a huge portion.
Service was tremendous. She was attentive and stopped by many times to see if she could get us anything else.
We also saved 10% using our Silver annual pass.
Have no reservations about stopping for brunch. Limited choices but delicious and plentiful.
