Raglan Road any good reviews?

I am glad to hear such good reviews! I will be trying Raglan for the first time next month! I have already chosen what I will be ordering. Bread Pudding was already my choice for dessert, but now I am even more excited to try it after hearing you guys rave about it. :thumbsup2

In addition to the band, I heard there are Irish Step Dancers? Any idea what time they perform?

We went during our last trip in June, the food was some of the best we had the entire trip, but the service was horrendous!

As for the food, I had the chicken bangers and mash (I think that's what it was called). I had never had chicken sausage before, it was soooo good. My sister had the guinness stew and loved it.

Now for the service. We were seated immediately and the restaurant was pretty empty (around 5:00). We waited 30 minutes before somebody even came to take our drink order, when our waiter finally showed up to take our drink order we told him we would like to go ahead and order, he said he would be right back to take the order. Well another 30 minutes or so go by and he finally comes back to take the order. All in all it took us about 2 1/2 from the time we were seated to finish our meal. During the time that we were waiting for our waiter to come back to the table I kept an eye on him, he was busy sitting at a table with a girl that seemed like she worked there but was eating before she went to work or something. He was always at her table, paying great attention to her, the thing was the table was only two over from us, so it's not like we couldn't see what was going on. It made me very angry and I was ready to walk out but I'm not the type to complain to management about those kind of things.

Having said all that, the food was excellent and I do think I would try eating there again for that reason alone.

We had such a great experience at RR-food, atmosphere and service-during our last trip that we actually ended up eating there twice during that trip. :thumbsup2 My DH enjoyed the Paddy's Pork so much that he had it twice in one week. The Goats Town appy was one of the best appys i have ever had, in & out of WDW. Loved the atmosphere for both an early dinner and a late dinner with the entertainment. Service was great. We can not wait to return to RR! :goodvibes

Us too Lynn! Great food and the best service we had anywhere! I had the steak, DH had Shepard's Pie and DS had a burger. I can't remember what we had for apps :confused3

They have one step dancer (Danielle). She's talented, and I think she performs on the same night as the band (monday through saturday), after 9pm.

We went in October and had a great evening. We made our ADR for 8:30 so that we could be there for the live entertainment. We were seated directly in front of the stage and I was afraid it would be too loud, but it was perfect. Danielle, the Irish Step Dancer performs periodically during band breaks after 9 PM, She comes on about every 15 - 20 minutes for a short set, then the band picks right back up. She is very talented and we loved watching her.
The band is great and we had a great time.
The food was excellent and our server was too, attentive but not hovering, just right. Since we lingered after dinner, he was aware of when DH or DS or I wanted and adult beverage refill. :lmao: Just right.

I had the Seared Steak Salad for an appetizer. It was very good. If I had realized How Much steak was in the salad I never would have ordered the Serious Sirloin Steak as my entree. It too was very good and cooked exactly as ordered.
DH and DS shared the Scallop Forest - forks of scallops served with a lime dipping sauce for an appetizer and declared it to be great.
DH had the Keen Eye for the Sheperds Pie - We give the traditional Shepherd's Pie (prime beef and lamb) a much-needed makeover with our contemporary twist to this favorite dish, which he enjoyed very much.
DS had the Sod... The Stew - It's beef stew infused with a hint of Guinness, and it was great. I wish I had ordered this.
I was too full for desert, but they ordered the bread pudding and loved it.

This was one of our favorite nights during our trip, and we will return.

I an so glad I started this thread as I was really getting nervous with all the bad reviews!!
