Radisson Resort Parkway - How far?

I know the web site for the Radisson Resort Parkway says that they are 1.5 miles from the
gates of Disney but how far are they really away?
I'm deciding between the Hotel Royal Plaza - the downtown Disney resort and
the Radisson.
The Radisson looks like it has a nice pool and using the mousesavers code I can
get it for $ 12.00 per night cheaper.
I have a car so the bus transporation isn't an issue and have an annual pass so
don't have to pay to park in the parks. Also since Disney did away with
Early Entry that benefit is gone for the downtown disney hotels.
I've stayed at the Marriott Courtyard - another Downtown Disney resort and
found it convenient to get to the parks and fast to get out for fast food outside of
Disney.
I don't mind adding a few more mins to get to Disney but not much more as we like
to leave in the afternoon for a swim and go back in the evening.
I've tried map quest to see how far away it is but its coming up that both hotels are
26 - 28 mins. from Disney.

We just got back last week. We also went back to the hotel in the afternoon for a swim. it was not any problem at all. In fact, we typically stay at the Wilderness Lodge, and I think the Radisson Resort Parkway is closer to Disney-MGM Studios and Animal Kingdom than the Magic Kingdom Resorts.

As you are driving out of WDW and you pass under the WDW archway you will see Disney's Wide World of Sports on your left. You then almost immediately pass under the I-4 overpass. The Radisson Resort Parkway Entrance is the first left after the overpass. It is across the street from Celebration.

It is a very nice hotel. I travel quite a bit and I would rank this hotel as much better than average. The rooms very exceptionally clean with new-looking furniture and linens. The interior and hallways are painted with bright primary colors. The pool area is impressive and the food is good.
