Most definitely a scary storm. Taken from NOAA's website:
KATRINA IS A LARGE HURRICANE. HURRICANE FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 105 MILES FROM THE CENTER...AND TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 230 MILES.

I have to say that radar is such a beautiful image. It's horrible that something that looks so amazing (from space) wreaks so much havor and destruction.

I am THANKING GOD it didn't look that bad when it hit us last week. I feel so bad for the people that are in her path. It scares the hell out of me to think what will happen to that city in just less than 12 hours. God bless them all.
